Excellent cast, script and score. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I had a couple of hours to kill while my car was serviced.
I watched “Sorry to bother you”...
It’s nuts... and has some properly funny moments (IMHO).

Stan and Ollie with Steve Coogan. Worth watching.
The duo Laurel and Hardy is etched into our minds and memories. Imho, this movie / biopic adds to that memory. Worth watching with the kids (no foul language etc) Certainly entertaining on Sunday afternoon after seeing a couple of B&W Laurel and Hardy's on Sunday morning.

Just rewatched 2012 on Netflix again, I had forgotten how good it was.
Cheers..

I did not have great expectations for Aquaman but I got into the film and enjoyed it.
Watched 'The Favourite' earlier and I thoroughly enjoyed it, tragi-comedy, great script with some very funny moments. Some very colourful language, don't go with your daughter or son, you and they would be embarrassed
Bird Box on Netflix- I was gripped
Agreed

Not a movie (haven't watched one of them for years) but a gripping doco on Kurdish army Colonel, Fakhir Berwari, who disarmed explosives left behind by IS in Iraq. He disarmed hundreds of landmines and houses that had been wired up with traps by IS. This is an absolutley fascinating film about a man driven by an intense passion to liberate his country from its oppressors. Its on iPlayer

"The night comes for us" on Netflix. (Akin to the "Raid" films"
Dunkirk is one of the best looking 4K films I've seen - it's very boring however.
Another thumbs up for Bird Box, really enjoyed it. Wasn’t anywhere near perfect but certainly worth a look.

Watch ghost stories with Martin freeman on Netflix last night, low budget scare fest but watchable.

Watched Darkest Hour over Xmas and thought that was awesome

Great film. One of the best I saw recently was First Man. Superb.

A good performance from Donald Sutherland in "American Hangman".

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Watched Stan and Ollie on Friday. I was never into Laurel and Hardy, always preferring Buster Keaton or Harold Lloyd if I had to watch anything like that but this film was absolutely superb.
Bullet Head on Netflix - that was interesting, a little weird but a good thriller with a charming four legged villain.
Nightcrawler is the most original and absorbing film I've seen in a long while.
Jake Gyllenhaal is a superbly icy villain.
The Big Short on Netflix.
It's been recommended to me about a dozen times but I didn't get round to viewing until yesterday.
What a great film. Couldn't help thinking that we're about to have another implosion.
I took my youngest and his friends for an impromptu trip to the local Odeon yesterday. They wanted to see Bumblebee, I thought this would be hellish having had to sit through a couple of the ealier transformer movies. It was actually really rather good and being set in the 80s had some decent tunes.

Swimming with men starring rob brydon ,very funny.
The Hippopotamus.
Great fun - a profanity fest mystery with a twist.

Bird Box - it's on Netflix, maybe not to everyone's taste, but an interesting premise, and really well made, especially considering it's really a TV movie.
Bird Box - what a waste of good time with idiotic agitprop undertones - 'beast from the East' and suchlike nonsense.

Was due to go to see Welcome to Marwen yesterday. Despite being panned I just fancied watching it. Found out an hour before the cinema had pulled it from schedule (didn't have my contact info) and put Stan & Ollie on a week earlier than planned.
So went to watch that (we'd originally got tickets for next Saturday). What a wonderful, pleasant film with 2 fantastic performances. Just absolutely loved it.
Watched BlackKlansman Saturday night, its excellent
Couple of more over the xmas period
American Made - Tom Cruise - very funny story
First Man - really showed the moon landing/space race etc in all its glory warts and all
Mission Impossible Fallout - eye candy in 4k HDR
Saw The favourite yesterday, its very very good. Superb acting by Olivia Coleman
Wind River. A bit slow, a bit grim (rural United States/Indian Reservation setting), but fairly good nonetheless.
Went to the German premiere of Mary Queen of Scots last week (with the Take Time watch) and I wish it was anywhere near as good as The Favourite promises to be.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Den of Thieves - minus a few minor details thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've recently seen Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star Is Born. Both are terrific films - - I was rooting for them both at the Golden Globe Awards.
Today I saw Green Book. As great as the above two are, I thought this one was a notch higher! Do yourself a favor and catch Green Book at your local theatre: Golden Globes Best Picture Winner.

Just watched Bad times at the El Royale which I really enjoyed. Quite a few twists and multiple threads - in a pulp fiction meets hateful 8 kind of way.
Watched Upgrade last week which was quite entertaining and funny, though it does lean heavily on Robocop / Terminator type themes

Split was very good and had me on the edge of my seat a few times.
Vice about Dick Cheney and the hijack of the presidency under Dubya, with Christian Bale in the Cheney role, it's brilliant, funny and compelling.
another thumbs up for green book though strider has put some timber on :)
Watched the greasy strangler a few weeks ago
Stan and Ollie - Thought it might be Hollywood schmaltz, it’s an excellent British film.

The favourite.
Reminded me a bit of Barry Lyndon with all the candlelit scenes and Peter Greenway , 3 women leads which is a novelty for film these days all at the top of their game. Olivia Coleman was great as the queen.
Lots of swearing 🤬
A better effort than the lobster which was his previous film
Just watched Green Book with my wife.
We both loved it.
Great "feel good" movie.
