Just watched "Eurovision" on Netflix this evening. Laugh out loud funny if a little offbeat. Would thoroughly recommend.

I'm partly ashamed to say it but Eurovision Story of Fire Saga was the best film I've watched for ages and I much preferred it to The Joker which I watched the day before and 1917 which I rewatched earlier.

Nailed on Oscar winner for best soundtrack IMHO

I'll get my coat but it is true

Can’t wait to watch that Eurovision one! Maybe tonight. Looking for a good laugh.

I watched it on Thursday night. I really enjoyed it. And I thought the music was great. Particularly that last big number. It could seriously get an award.

    Shouting.. Play Jaja DingDong !!

I highly recommend this documentary about the Barkley Marathons, an extreme endurance race run in Tennessee every year - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2400291/

You can get it on Apple TV for a quid.

It’s a lovely piece of television.

I watched The Martian the other day. A very good film. The science behind it seemed accurate, which is a nice change.

+1 for 7500. Really good film, tense and no sign of any glorious ending.

Spike Lees Black Klansman, funny, but very relevant today, the last few minutes were sobering.

Really enjoyed this, the fact that my wife’s a huge Eurovision fan helps.

We watched '99 Homes' last night. Drama about the sharp edges of raw capitalism. It's available on BBC iPlayer for a few days. Well worth a watch.

Watched a new movie call Palm Springs last night. Andy Samberg’s latest. Like an updated/more grown up version of Groundhog Day. If you like Samberg you will love this, some real moment of hilarity. Some great supporting cast members as well. Rarely laugh out loud at films nowadays but this had me doing that a lot. Also a really good concept and story and well executed.

    4/5 for me!

I’ve just watched Bad Education , with Hugh Jackman starring.
Really good slow burner , a true story about misappropriation of funds at a New York school .
Without spoiling it too much, the amount of money that went missing was eye watering .

Watched the Eurovision Will Ferrell movie last night. Bloody awful, overly long and all over the place. There was the odd smattering of funny bits but just didn’t work. Even if your a fan of Eurovision (not sure such a thing really exists!) I can’t imagine you liking this.

I used to like his stuff but he seems to have lost what he once had, needs to change/evolve or he will end up disappearing if he keep making crap like this.

100 Meters on Netflix. Spanish film about a guy with MS who trains for an Ironman, based on a true story.

I also watched The Old Guard and really enjoyed it. Fight scenes were superbly choreographed.

Watched 1917 last week as well and can't say enough good things about it, absolutely superb.

I got progressively more and more disappointed with the Rambo series. First Blood was an excellent story of a Vietnam vet shunned by society, and they got more and more ridiculous as time went on.

Last Blood was just violence, and comic in a sense, but the films just moved away from what the series started out as.

Admittedly not a patch on the original and it's storyline. After 3 decades it was inevitable the Rambo films were going to change, I was under no illusion as to what to expect this time around though and did enjoy it for a bit of mindless action.

Rambo: Last Blood aka Taken Home Alone!

HUGE Sly fan and what he did with the later Rocky stuff is outstanding, but this is utter bilge.

I just finished watching this and thought it was a bit pants. Lots of predictable vampire tropes (but totally nothing to do with vampires, it's a completely original superhero concept, OK).

The fight choreography was OK but nothing to write home about. Not in the same league as a John Wick or Bourne movie.

I watched it in ~30 minute blocks over the weekend because I wasn't engaged enough to watch it all the way though in one go.

There’s a couple of scenes in the second one that rival “Nothing is over! NOTHING!!!!” from the original.

My personal favourite is the bit on the boat, when the viet girl asks “what expendable mean?” Is a great scene, when he uses the party analogy....

By George, Stallone could actually act.....

Outpost was pretty good, heavy sustained military firefight and the outcome, a review of indefensible bases.

My wife now thinks it's hilarious to call me and shout 'play jaja ding dong' down the phone and hang up. Or announce it over Alexa.

The film was laugh out loud funny and the accents they put on were equal parts awkward and funny. The overall campness of Eurovision came through really well and the digs at Russia were pretty made me chuckle. Pierce Brosnan was great in it too.

'The Dawn Wall' - really good documentary about a couple of free climbers attempting to scale the Dawn Wall in Yosemite National Park in California.

It's available on Netflix and highly recommended.

You can say that of 99.99999% of films (I'm certain of my figures, I got them from the same place as Boris Johnson gets his ), but I actually thought the end of the film was tenser than the book, which seemed a little anti-climactic (I'm sure some will claim it's more 'feasible').

Definitely read the book (the Martian), but see the film first and you'll enjoy both - Well, I did

6 Underground - If you want to watch a good movie, watch ANYTHING else...

Like a badly scripted, big budget version of Strike Back with less believeable action, characters, plot (is there one?) and action sequences that clearly cost a fortune, but still look cr*p.

I like a brains out thriller as much as anyone, but this is just dross.

Half way through and I couldn't watch any more of it...

Finally got around to watching 'The Last Dance' and I'm already hooked, it definitely lives up to the hype.
