Love Meet Joe Black, one of my top 10 movies. The ending is very thought provoking from a parental perspective and very nicely done.

I saw Nightcrawler at the weekend on Netflix. It's one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Highly recommended!

I watched The Extraction on Netflix - brilliant fighting scenes, that of John Wick and The Bourne Series. The storyline was a bit predictable, overall a decent film.

I watched Extraction at the weekend. As said, predictable but good enough nonetheless. One of the fight scenes was pretty much a one-take jobbie that lasted 12 mins. They trained and practiced for 4 months to do it. The actors said that when they appear haggard on the screen they were genuinely feeling that way.

I know I am over a year late but we just watched Roma. What an extraordinary, beautiful film. Completely wrapped up in the story from start to finish and incredible cinematography.

I thought it would be good but a bit hard going, couldn’t have been more wrong.

I really enjoyed the first half...thought it was fresh and very promising. The second half (for me) digressed into generic action fighting that didn't capitalize on the unique story crafted in the first half.

We watched this again as a family ranging fro 14-72.

Beautiful, beautiful film. Very heart warming and funny.

I have just finished watching the Quincy Jones doco on Netflix. A very interesting and laid back hour or so watching a tale of a remarkable man 👍👍

I watched Hunt for the Wilderpeople this afternoon. All the reviews on here suggested it would be good and it didn't disappoint at all.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People

One I recorded off terrestrial a few weeks ago that I missed first time round (circa. 2008). No Oscar winner but good fun with Simon Pegg doing his usual 'British nerd out of comfort zone'

Just watched Coherence, trippy low-budget thriller with an intriguing premise, though not a film to watch if your attention is divided with something else

    “Yesterday” on NowTV.
Really good and funny, a Richard Curtis / Danny Boyle film. It’s about a musician who wakes up after a accident and he’s the only one who knows who the Beatles were.

Saw The Lighthouse last night, a black comedy about sheltering in place. Reminiscent of Eraserhead. Willem Dafoe is fantastic, as always!

Probably been posted but I haven't got time to go through 5739 posts.
Just watched Shawshank Redemption again tonight but this time with the kids.
Absolutely brilliant film which I'm sure most people, like myself, have seen before but definitely worth watching again. Brilliant film.

Bit of an oldie but we watched Shutter Island on Netflix last night. Whole family enjoyed it.

Trying to go through stuff on Netflix or Prime that we have seen before or for a long time to keep ourselves sane.

The Mechanism. After watching a number of ho hum movies., a friend suggested I watch this Brazilian police series.
You know that "something special" good movies have . This one has it in spades. Two seasons.

Interesting you say that, I thought it was an amazing film. Sadly, I made the mistake of watching it on a friends Plex (streaming) server which resulted in lower than ideal picture quality.

I was going to ask about the holes, but that might spoil the plot!

After reading the book some time ago, I finally got around to re-watching The Right Stuff last night.

Good film, which is true to the parts of the book it covers, but there's a lot it doesn't.

    Enjoyable re-watch though.

I watched this some years ago, while laid up with a broken knee - I think it's a hugely underrated film, but it's not all action, which I think a lot of people expect.
