    Precista 18A HAS ARRIVED

It has arrived! Well what can i say?

Photos dont do it justice at all!!!

It is a little smaller than i thought but it isn't SMALL , if that makes any sense..

Its a great watch and im getting this after flipping my Helson Shark Diver 42. It isn't nearly as large or chunky as the SharkDiver but the quality of the beadblast finish and the attention to detail is great! The dial is very clear and legible and it is really easy to read the time! A simple black watch which is basically matte all around, like a real nice tool watch!

I was skeptical about the beadblasted finish and how it would look, this is my first beadblasted finish and i guess only time will tell how well it would hold up! So far it seems great and im sure a few dings or chips here and there would only add character to this potential Military Issued watch. Because mine isn't the Quartz and doesnt meet NATO standards!

Anyway, a quick summary of things. The CS is great! I exchanged a couple of emails with Eddie and he was to the point and honest, i guess he is a busy man and he was accommodating in the things i asked! He allowed me to ship the watch on the DARLENA LEATHER PILOT strap on his site and thats what im wearing it on now! It is a vintage-ish kinda style leather and thats what i like about it! The strap arrived looking as old as the strap on my dad's 10 year old Breitling Navitimer, of course in a good kinda way! The only issue that didn't match was that the buckle on this strap was polished! I quickly fixed that with some scotchbrite and scratched in a single direction motion, and it actually looks pretty decent!

The fit is great for me, wears somewhat like my seiko skx007, smallish dial but the lug to lug length makes the watch appear slightly larger and it is quite a nice size for an everyday wearer or a beater. I admit my Helson Sharkdiver had loads of wrist presence and people noticed it, but it was large, abit uncomfortable maybe due to my small wrists and very very heavy! This is a nice weight and size to wear everyday and it is comfortable enough for that purpose!

The winding on this watch is a standard as on a 9015, i had the same movement in my helson and handwinding is quite nice! The second hand is really really smooth moving, sometimes it seems smoother than my breitling Ti Seawolf. The crown screws down nicely and hasn't crossthreaded or anything so far!

I think that sums up most of it for now, this is not a new watch so im sure theres info all over about this watch anyway! But anyway! no more waiting. i know you guys want photos! here they are!

p.s these are just iphone pics!

Very good choice. I took delivery of my 18Q a week ago and have worn it every day :)

I got this Di Modell Carbonio Sport strap today and I think it suits it very well. It's practical too as it's carbon so I can confidently get it wet.

    Enjoy your new arrival.

I am glad you like it. It's a favourite of mine.

Somebody has gathered all the bits together. It's of the 18Q but the 18A is a homage of the 18Q ...

It looks awesome! I am on the hunt for PRS 10, PRS 17 A and PRS 17Q these days; next will be 18 A and 18 Q I think.

Then CWC, then Pulsar series, and the hunt goes on . . .

    It never ends! :drunken: :bounce:

Wear yours in the best of health . . .

I have an 18A and it is a thing of beauty. Simplicity is the key - just so legible.

One of the best watches I have ever had my 18A.
