Here's one you don't see very often

O&W Ranger, bought from TZ-UK a few years ago. I had the crystal replaced, wore it a few times, decided I didn't like the dial or hands and so put it away - where it's remained ever since.

Whilst sorting through the watch drawer looking for something else, it was calling out to me - so I popped it on one of Eddie's rubber straps and have been wearing it the last few days.

It feels like the perfect size for me and I find it very comfortable to wear (seems to be the same case used by Heuer, CWC etc) - still don't like the dial or hands though, or the fully polished finish.

Toying with the idea of a bead blast finish and new dial and hands now ................. it never stops does it?

Now I do like the dial layout on that one. It's just a bit different (in a good way).
I have an O&W M6 which is a nice little watch too, although doesn't get worn a great deal.

    regards,
    Nick

Re-looking at the photo, I think the way it's taken makes the dial look nicer than it really is - the reflection off the crystal makes it look different.

    So do I.

Why not just brush the shoulders back yourself, you may like it alot more.

If you decided to sell the watch I bet it won't be on sc for long.

Well FWIW I rather like it as is. The blasted case would be quite nice as well but she's v. attractive in the pics, reflections or no

There seems to be some love for this, which surprises me

The dial, merc hands and shiny case just don't do it for me - do like the way it wears though - guess this is why the Heuers and CWCs are so popular?

Nice Ranger, these and the ID3077 are not often seen on the forum.

O&W was pretty much the brand that got me excited about watches, I remember seeing a yellow dial Ranger in York antiques on Stonegate and thinking "now I get it!"

Never did buy it, didn't have the cash at the time, but then I got interested in the Unitas 6497 powered XXL and have ever since looked fondly at anything bearing the O&W logo. If only they came in branded boxes!
