Last Sunday actually, I saw The Vapours, The Professionals and Buzzcocks.
Out of the three I enjoyed The Professionals the most.

Melodic rockers FM with Dare (sans Brian Cox) in support next Friday. Should be good. FM’s new album is really strong.

Saw U2 in Madison Square Garden last week. Saw them a few years back at the o2 and was pretty bland. This time was much better and Bono not waffling on so much!!!

Just saw this, didn’t know Dare were around any longer. One of my favourite bands of the 80’s, very underrated!! Did you end up seeing them?

Also like FM, had beers with them a long time ago when they played my local village hall (very sad they were playing there but chuffed to see them in a small venue)

We are going to see her in Buxton. Really looking forward to it. I've seen 10000 Maniacs once and Natalie a few times but this is billed as 'An audience with...'. I think it's just her and her guitarist telling stories and singing songs.
We saw Natalie and her guitarist husband Erik Della Penna last night at the Pitville Pump Rooms in Cheltenham. What a fantastic evening: very laid back, casual, humorous and brillaint music. She wandered around the audience quite a bit whilst singing, I think partly as it was very warm. You'll enjoy seeing her in Buxton.

Sigrid at Somerset House was very good but think they’re strict with curfew as stopped 10:30 dead, no encore

    Bluedot next

Got tickets for Chvrches today, at Ally Pally in Feb
Snow patrol at O2 and Wembley Arena Jan/Feb
    Florence &TM at O2 Nov (I think)
Bloc Party at Ally Pally Oct
    Jon Hopkin at Brixton Nov
    Sigrid at Brixton Nov

    Er think that’s it

Saw Gaslight Anthem on Wednesday night at Manchester Apollo.

10th Anniversary celebration of release of 59 Sound, so played it in its entirety. Worth going just for that, one of my favourite albums.

Great gig played by a band that at least looked happy to be back together and enjoying playing together.

Just booked for the Tord Gustavsen Trio at Nottingham's Djanogly Recital Hall in November. That is always a good night.

Saw Epica at Rock City recently, have Nightwish to look forward to in December. Mustn't grumble!

I'm there too...and was at Manchester last night; it's an epic show and their new soundman has worked wonders in the arena venues.

Bonamassa tonight. Anyone knows if he is touring with a support act this time (oh, the golden time when he supported himself in a double feature a few years ago)?

Went to see Three Days Grace at Shepherds Bush Empire on Sunday - was a birthday present for the kids, but they were actually a really good band to listen to and watch live.

Bad Wolves as support played their version of Zombie and that was pretty good too.

i might now have to drag myself to a few more gigs of the bands that the kids like.

    ...and Luxembourg?

Edit: just snatched four tickets, difficult with website repeatedly crashing. How did it go for you?

Success! 2 tickets for Berlin and 2 for Milton Keynes. I expect they will add shows like they already have in Munich after the first sold out so I hope for a second visit to the Olympiastadion! We will be over for our Summer break so it all fits perfectly.
    I hope you enjoy Luxembourg!
