PRS-18

3 Divers and the question is which one would you be keeping?
First of all a family picture of the 3 >>>
And now the low down from my point of view
1). The Precista PRS18Q >>
Looks great and i love the case and boasts a 300M Water Resistance. Looks good on both a Nato and a Bracelet and is very much military based, the only draw back to me is that it is quartz (although i knew this when buying it). I suppose one Con for this watch could be it has no date on it, the lume is also ok. Another good pro for this watch is that it does have a sapphire crystal.
2). The Seiko SKX007 Automatic Diver
This is the classic Seiko design of diving watch so no complaints there has a 200M Water Resistance and has the crown at 4 which i particularly like. It doesn't suit all styles of bracelet but it does look good on an oyster style bracelet, i have never tried it on a nato. A bad point i suppose is that this watch does not have a sapphire crystal but i have never had any problems with the Hardlex crystal it has now, and yes i have banged it a few times and has not shown signs of it - so a tough watch all in all. It does have a Day and a Date wheel which i have found very useful for questions like what date is it LOL.
3). The O&W M4 GMT Diver
This one again is an Auto which is always a pro for me, the lume is abit poor but it will do. This also has a 200M Water Resistance and does look good on any strap i have tried on it. This also has a date feature and the movement is VERY Accurate - after testing it struggled to gain a second a day which is top dollar in my books. I think possibly because it doesn't have a sapphire and the bezel isn't really a diving style bezel could bring this watch down.
So what do you guys think?

THIN is the new BLACK
Lovely trio and I would keep them all if possible. They are all different (especially due to their different case shape) and relatively affordable. If needs must, then I would part with the O&W... but then again... :D
For me, preference in order is
1. Seiko - classic dive watch and daily beater. Great value
2. O&W - I really like this watch. Forced into second due to cyclops mainly (I can't help not being drawn to them  )
3. PRS-18Q - great watch, but in this company the quartz movement ranks it 3rd for me.
If they were in my cupboard I'd be tempted to keep both the automatics though.
I think its an automatic advantage to the O&W and the SKX due to the movement :D

The O&W is generic and you will always be able to get that Seiko. 8)

THIN is the new BLACK
Keep the 18Q please, has the best specs and best looks IMHO.
Your collection has lots of mechanical power so one Q is allowed
I too would go 18, then o&w, then seiko!
I would ditch the Seiko
Keep the Precista ...
The Seiko stands out amongst those three for me. I'd drop the last one.
Keep the Seiko. You know that you will miss it:-)

In terms of looks the PRS wins comfortably for me, haven't seen many on a bracelet and I think it looks very good, probably better than on NATO.
I will keep the O&W. Great daily wearer.
This order for keeping:
1. 18Q
2. Seiko
3. O&W
Loose the O&W. Seiko is a great beater. The Precista is like nothing else out there which is a big plus. The O&W hasn't got a lot of identity. It's more of a generic 'Submariner' style dive-watch than the others are.
I like the o&w the most out of the 3.
The Seiko you can get anytime, the Precista would always leave me wanting the Benrus Type 1 it's based on. The O&W is different enough from a sub to keep my interest. The bezel can be used for a dive timer if need be, and as an ersatz GMT bezel if you want that function. IIRC, there's lume on the bezel, too. The ETA 2824 hacks, handwinds and is Swiss. It wins going away.
+ 1 on that. Looks great, has strap / bracelet versatility and the added bonus of being perfect as a grab and go option on rotation with other watches without having to reset the time with it being a quartz and all.Originally Posted by LVE
