Lol, I give up! Tried copying a link form another forum and "inserting image", and the post is blank. Also tried from Flickr with the same result.
Any one have any suggestions?! I'm not doing anything differently than I do on other forums!
Edit- despite imgjur, Flickr and photobucket not working, I have signed up to image shack and it seems to be ok. I’d love to know what was wrong with the others though as imageshack is only free for 30 days.

A little help needed here! What do you do to the image code to get it to work? Idiot proof answers only please :) many thanks in advance
I'm using Imgur for my pics. What you do there is…
* Upload your picture by clicking 'New post' in the top left of the page.
* This takes you through to the upload page. I usually upload pics that I already have saved on my computer but you might wish to grab something from elsewhere on the web too by pasting in the image's URL.
* To get the link, open your image, then the three dots menu to bring up more options, then select Share Options.
* Copy the link in the 'BBCode (Forums)' box.
* Go back to the forum page you wish to add your pic to and paste your pic link directly into the your post. You won't be able to see anything apart from the code so click Preview Post to make sure it's worked.
* You can also use the Insert image button on the post composer menu. If you're going to do that, remove the tags from your link, ie the bits in the square brackets - [img] and [/img] - at the beginning and end of the link, so you just have the internet address of your image, which will usually start with https: and end in .jpg (or whatever the format of the picture).

It *might* be hiding under another name. All that really matters is that you get the direct address of the image, so most likely something starting with https:// and ending in an image format - .jpg, .png, .gif etc. You can then either add the tags yourself or use the image placement tool in the forum post formatting menu which will add them for you.
