I am wondering if anyone can help posting pictures to this forum, as each time I try I fail miserably.

Is there a way to post a picture from one’s iPhone to the forum? All the guide posts are several years old and things seem to have changed since then.

I would like to join the Friday threads and also sell a watch or two, and have had no luck posting pictures so can’t!

Thanks - I have done so and it still doesn’t work. Sometime I can see the photo I tapatalk, but no one else can, and I can’t see the photo on the normal web browser. I will try it again on this thread and see if it works!

Further to the previous post, in Tapatalk it gives the message, ‘””your forum has disabled image sharing from this app’””: so Tapatalk looks out as well.

What does everyone else do?

Let me see if I can do a user guide (ironically by uploading screenshots)


1. Choose reply then the little photo symbol in the bottom left hand corner (highlighted):





2. This will open the photo gallery on my phone and I choose a photo:





3.Select the resolution:




4. The uploading % counter appears:

There’s nowhere on the Tapatalk settings for me to access photos - there is a link to ‘image preview’ which I have clicked, but that’s it. I honestly am at my wit’s end!

That might help explain things. My phone only gives me the option to change Siri, Notifications and Background App Refresh. I simply don’t get your functionality.

I'm using Imgur for my pics. What you do there is…

* Upload your picture by clicking 'New post' in the top left of the page.



* This takes you through to the upload page. I usually upload pics that I already have saved on my computer but you might wish to grab something from elsewhere on the web too by pasting in the image's URL.



* To get the link, open your image, then the three dots menu to bring up more options, then select Share Options.



* Copy the link in the 'BBCode (Forums)' box.



* Go back to the forum page you wish to add your pic to and paste your pic link directly into the your post. You won't be able to see anything apart from the code so click Preview Post to make sure it's worked.



* You can also use the Insert image button on the post composer menu. If you're going to do that, remove the tags from your link, ie the bits in the square brackets - [img] and [/img] - at the beginning and end of the link, so you just have the internet address of your image, which will usually start with https: and end in .jpg (or whatever the format of the picture).

I've been using this very helpful advice to post pictures for a while now, but I have to do in on the PC as the imgur app/Safari website doesn't offer the same options.

Is there not some other way to get the required BBcode on an iPhone?! Its a complete faff having to send myself a picture then open up the computer just to post an image.

Thank you for contacting Tapatalk.


We are currently undergoing unscheduled maintenance, which is causing the image upload to fail. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience this is causing to the image upload.


The image upload will work again as soon as the maintenance is over. I don't have an exact ETA yet, but our technical staff is working hard to get it done as soon as possible.


In the meantime, you can continue to use the other features of the app.
Again, apologies for the interruption in the upload feature and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
