Trying to insert some pictures into a sales add; have not done this for a while, any advice gratefully accepted (used to use photobucket but believe this is subscription now)

Hurraahhhhh....so its the Picture Icon you have to use (the one of the mountains) rather than the Paper Clip attachment one

I right-clicked on the image address of your photo and then 'copy', then opened the 'insert image' icon (looks like a photo) in the toolbar above and pasted the address into the box and clicked on OK. Alternatively you can post the image address and wrap [ img ] [/ img ] (but without the spaces) around it.

Your third go worked, so obviously you've got the hang of it.

Thanks - figured it out - I was using the attach file icon, rather than the picture one - and its now worked

Due to the actions of some individuals here, before you post any photos I would strongly recommend that you

    1) Remove all EXIF data - the location of where the photograph was taken (especially if it's your home).
    2) Remove any specific identifying marks like registration numbers, serial numbers, etc. These can be provided in the event you are selling something - if not, then don't.
    3) Ensure that photographs do not include any personal information (for example receipts which have your name, address, etc) which you would rather not share.

I speak from exprience in this matter.

I genuinely wouldn't be worried about the likes of Ralphy looking up your car registration. I would, however, be incredibly worried about uploading photos showing, for example, your address to a public website.

There's a thread about 'good' number plates. What about their owner's privacy?

Thank you very much for this public service announcement. Most of us do know about EXIF, due to it having been released in 1995.

    Not a problem .

However perhaps its worth noting that technology like the IPhone was not released until 2007. Prior to that I doubt many DLSR Cameras were fitted with GPS sensors.

I also doubt "most" people were aware that a photo hosted by a 3rd Party, and then posted on a forum would be investigated by other forum members to find out exactly what EXIF data was associated with it.

You were advised for over 2 weeks to make your Photobucket account private and it has taken you until now to do it.

Posting images is really easy with the Tapatalk app,

Is moderate how you type between pictures?

    watch_face.jpg

Is moderate the only way to write below an image in tapatalk?

Ok so you write something; upload; moderate; upload a new image:); repeat..... This is going to take some time....

Is it possible to upload pictures straight from an iPhone snap. Seeing lots of solutions but for the life of me I can’t see how to upload straight from the phone?

Are you using the generic Tapatalk app or the TZ app?

Yep. Once you use Tapatalk on iPhone or Android I doubt you'll use the forum on a computer again. Could not be easier.
