What a nonsense...just compare your watch with the same reference using to check the kameras clock accuracy, why taking the loop via the kamera?

Re: Use a Camera to Check the Accuracy of Your Wristwatch

Why would anybody with a right mind take 1,440 photos just to check how much time difference their beater runs up in 24 hours?

My process description for the same result:
    - set watch
    - wait 24 hours
    - check for delta
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.

Here is something a lot more realistic

Here is something a lot more realistic:

    http://forums.watchuseek.com/f9/methods ... 82752.html

You will see described methods which are usable to measure even HAQ models with accuracy in the range of a few seconds/year

Re: Use a Camera to Check the Accuracy of Your Wristwatch

People responding to the original thread seem to agree that this is a daft way of checking the accuracy of a watch. The really nonsensical thing is that having checked the timing of his watches against the camera, he then spends another 24 hours checking his camera against an atomic clock. Why not just check your watches against the atomic clock at 24 hour intervals?

Possibly a bloke looking to justify the spending of cash on gadgets..

I think it's actually quite interesting, because the video shows you how the time drifts back and forth (slightly), rather than just getting the accuracy at one day. Not that useful, but not a total waste of time.

But it doesn't show you how the watch behaves on the wrist which, when all is said and done, is where it should be living.

What would you do with the information gained from seeing how the timing deviates back and forth? That's not an aggressive question, I'm just curious as to how this information could be used, if indeed it can be used for anything?

I like the way the second hands drift - some more than others and the one that stays put is the most accurate....

    Interesting, but . .
