I'm not keen on the green tint crystal one. So for me, the other one.
Thinking about getting a dressier Rolex and the Milgauss is growing on me. However can't decide which I prefer most. Do like the gv model but since parting with my polar exp2 a white dial would add extra variation to my little collection. Vintage is out of budget so advice and pics of current models appreciated.

White dial and theres one on sales corner 8)
I think most people opt for the gv so I would be a bit different go for the white dial and be unique....not seen many white dials in the wild ALWAYS seeing green glass....
Thre is only one choice
I love the white one. Been so close to buying one a few times now but always stop myself, not sure why!
Black for me.. prefer the harmonious lume colour between face and hands and the "blocks" instead of numbers around the hour markers.
Not convinced by the white/orange combo - just doesn't look special to me.
The green over orange on the LV just dulls the orange imho (& the mix of orange & white markers looks overly fussy)
So plain black for me too...
Simple, Elegant... a classic

All three :D
Tough choice between black and white, but white it is.
It goes nice with about every colour shirt and suit.
The GV has the edge in the milgauss camp IMHO & would be my choice but the white dial would a dressier option but if that was the intention i would be picking up a white dialled turn-o-graph or DJ.
I have the GV, but do like the white version.
White for me.
Cheers,
Neil.
Green crystal is the one to always go for imho.
Me neither - the green glass tint puts me in mind of window glazing. So, regular black for me.Originally Posted by monogroover

Plain black for me. When it was first announced in 2007 I wanted to go for the GV but when I saw the first pics on the Web I just didn't like the mish-mash of colours. As black/orange are my favourite watch colours it was easy to go for the regular black one. The case is superb, thick and heavy, and although I don't normally like polished centre links I don't mind this on the Milgauss....it doesn't look blingy IMO.
If the vintage is out of range, clearly the white for me.
Very much prefer the black dial to the white on the Milgauss. It's a very beautiful watch, but with the white dial, it just becomes a but to much, IMO
The black would be my choice.
Black for me
Does this help:
Also, someone tells me there's a rather special white Milly on the sales corner at the mo!!

Personal choice but it was the steel, black, green balance that attracted me.
GV is the pick of the bunch, now the initial madness over prices has calmed down its a nice piece for the right money

Personally, I would buy none of the modern ones, but save up instead for a nice 1019 (grail watch for me). Not very helpful, sorry.
for me i think it would be the green.
Thanks for all the contributions. Think the black is my favourite.
I'm going with the plain balck. My favourite Rolex.
i not had one yet but i,ll be buying the green one when i do
Wouldn't this be easier as a poll?!
GV for me!
I really like them all and would have them all if I was still buying - but in this order
GV
White dial
Black dial
It's just a matter of time...
Green is the one
For a white dialled dress watch Milgauss wouldn't be my first choice.
Personally I prefer the black dial.
In my collection more than 70% are black...
May be watches with black dial and light color markers are easier for my eye...
Of course the other way round also true... :D
For this case my preference : the black dial...
Difficult, like the white dial but the green is more unique and probably my choice :)
Depends on how it's worn I'd say, but there are nicer white dialed watches out there (working on landing one myself!) so I'd have to say the classy black is the way to go. For a white dial rollie I'd go Explorer II over the Milgauss anyways..
Greetings from Finland!
Also my first post to TZ.
I have to say I really like the white Milgauss. Very dressy but still sporty. I recently had a pleasant and smooth Internet shopping experience from Watches and Jewellery of Bond Street (Watchcentre), where this Milgauss was bought.
I also have Rolex GMT2c and Speedmaster Pro. I have previously owned GMT-Master 16700, Date 15200, Datejust 116200 and two Sub 16610:s, which I have flipped over the years.
White Milgauss is an excellent choice as a second watch. I wouldn´t buy it as a first and only Rolex though.
Strangely drawn toward the white one, just something about it I like.
Plain black for me. The variation on this thread suggests to me that there will be no consensus.
Had a GV and sold it. I tried but could not get along with the inconsistent mix of colours on the dial in combination with the green glass. The latter gave me the feeling the dial and hands were harder to see because it blurred it somehow.
I saw two datejust II (116334) today, with the baton markers and white and blue dials :drunken: . Don't read much about the non sport models on the forum but it has really got me confused over what I want. :? Probably require the selling of my 114270 Exp I if I do go down either the datejust or milgauss route.
GV all the way .
For a white dial rollie I'd go Explorer II over the Milgauss anyways..

Agreed totally, the white Milgauss photo's much better than it look's live imo.
That was exactly my thoughts, plus makes a change from black dialsOriginally Posted by Retep

Black for me .With or without green tint.Take the white too!!
I'm a huge fan of orange on white dials. So you already know my choice :)
regular black for me 8)
GV all day for me. I really want to pull the trigger on one but I need to replenish the funds. 3 new watches in the last 4 months for me. I have to rest for a bit, for the sake of my wallet and my good lady's sanity. :)
Next 2 watches are BR02 92 and Milgauss GV
Well, that's exactly the order that I acquired mine in ................Originally Posted by Omegamanic

Frankly, can't go wrong with whichever you choose. They all have their merits IMO.
Green dial, then black... Save the white one for when I'd run out of things to buy :)
Might need to save a very long time in comparison to the new clowngauss. :?Originally Posted by TheDude

Quite satisfying. Mine appears to be a permanent addition. 7 years and counting...
