Which is itself (the SS, I mean) a nice round £7k now. I'd love one as well.

I said that a year ago. Now I only have one of the above plus these two and I did buy a JLC PC, sold it and bought it back. Just goes to show what Bo$$ox I talk.

Gotta be a Reverso of some kind.... I could sit there flipping it all day long and never get bored!

I had the modern Memovox.....until I found a lovely old one. The modern one never quite looked the same again and had to go....

    Thread resurrection alert!

I'm honing in on a decision on a GT Duoface as a dress/ work watch but have recently come across the Master Compressor memovox and am now stuck in a loop. can't afford both (cant really afford one, but heh ho!!!) so what to do?

The memovox would satisfy my itch to trade up my Seamaster and provide an interesting alternative to a Sub. Does anybody have any experience of these now they are a bit older or advices on servicing etc which I've heard could be pricey. Any other ideas?

Having owned a few JLC pieces my preference is the reverso. It is a classic.

I had a look at various incarnations of their memovox range and l particularly like the tribute to deep sea. What stopped me from pulling the trigger is that it is an alarm complication, which is nice, but not something I am likely to use. The circular casing is nothing unusual, unlike the reverso. You are more likely to move a reverso piece on, unless it is a special edition of the memovox.

    Hope it helps.

Have my two ideal ones; Duometre a Chronographe and Reverso Grande 8 Days Reserve.

The new ultra thin perpetual calendar is a thing of beauty though... That'd be the one.

    What would I buy?? A Reverso 976.

Which happens to be arriving tomorrow if all goes to plan

  32. #132
    All

Ceramic and Rose Gold Amvox for me...

Also, there's a beauty of a Reverso which has been on SC for a while Gran Sport from memory and a beauty. Would be mine if I had the £s.

Looked at one of these the other day, beautiful watch_ absolutely gorgeous. The movement looks so much better in real life too. Loved the idea of the duoface but do not like the open date detail at all. Still hunting...

    Enjoy yours

Really fancy a reverso but difficult to get an idea of size and scale when comparing models.

Slightly clearer photo, albeit not that great and I have to admit the watch deserves better.

It arrived yesterday and looks even better in the flesh. It's looking like a keeper!
