New arriving : Tag Heuer Marine Nationale

Just received this diver todayt,

those Tag Heuer with full luminous dial were issued to french Marine Nationale at the end of the 80's,

Can you tell us about this watch, and it's connection with MN. I've never heard of these being issued to MN. I've been doing some research into the TAG Heuer Spirotechnique in conjunction with the TAG Heuer brand heritage department, and this MN issue is news to me, so I'm intrigued!

Hello from France,

there are not so many informations about those MN issued Heuer and Tag Heuer watches,

they are all quartz movement and I have been told by an Ex Colonel that some were issued to Gendarmerie divers force in France,

I have a few references about them in my Marine Nationale logbook,

here you can see more examples, all within the 1988/1990 range,

two Tag Heuer MN with different markings (the second one I sold some years ago has a marking similar as the ones we find on Auricoste Spirotechnique MN) and one Heuer issued to FAR (Force d'Action Rapide) :









I saw one more Tag Heuer with MN XXXXX marking in Paris one month ago, directly coming from Brest arsenal; they ask 900€ for it !

By the way, there are more quartz diver watches issued to MN during the 80's, such as Luxia, Elvia or Le Forban,

all of them should bear a special marking on the back,

It's a swiss made quartz movement (ESA or AS ?), nothing incredible, just a 80's movement...

Yes, It's an ESA 536.121 (AS) - same m'ment that was in many of the early Quartz models.
