Don't think I will be selling any now, but I am wanting to add an AP ROO and a JLC, maybe Master Geographic Comp. to my collection which to my eyes will be my perfect (?!) collection :) Need to get saving!
Tried a quick search and haven't found a similar thread but apologies if there is one there and i've missed it.
I thought it would be interesting to set out my wish list for 2012 so at the end of the year I can take stock and see how many more came and went than I originally set out to get. So, in terms of incoming i'm hope at some point to obtain an IWC MK and an SD but possibly, funds allowing a GMT and / or a 5513. I don't plan on letting anything go :D
What do others have on their wish list for 2012 and do you plan on letting anything go?
Cheers

I plan to get one or the other of these (maybe both!):
Rolex Datejust
Omega Speedie Moon
I think I'll likely shift off my Magrette Moana Pacific, I'm just finding it a bit big.
Planning a full overhaul of my Zenith too!
Just one for me at the moment; Doxa SUB 750T or 1200T Sharkhunter
Fairly modest for me -
1. Citizen Skyhawk with sapphire upgrade
2. Nice minty early 80's Seiko LCD
3. A service on my Speedmaster
Family holidays seem to be taking priority this year.
I think my 2012 will pan out as follows:
1) 1ct D/F colour VS1 ring for the girlfriend ;)
2) New car
3) AP 15300 or 5402 if there is any change!
With three out and two in over the past week there's an alarmingly empty slot in my watch box.
A Moonwatch or maybe an IWC pilot (XVI or chrono) are in my thoughts also for filling it.
Big Omega year for me. And all vintage please! :)
Omega dress watch with sub-second. (Done!)
Omega Flightmaster (910 preffered, but 911 as welcome)
Omega Memomatic (have a good handle on one, just need to find the cash)
Omega Speedmaster (not a fan of the standard model, fancy a tropic dial mk2 or a blue horizon mk3)
Omega Chronostop Driver (maybe on the way)
Number 6 keeps changing. Half of me wants something gold, but the 80's side of me wants something digital! Maybe an Omega albatross or a Time Computer...
I' hoping for a IWC 3714 or RO 15300/14790 st., and one has got to go for that to happen :(
Rolex Explorer II (black dial) - the all-new one that is.
Breitling Navitimer (previous model)
Zenith El Primero of some kind (probably vph)
Smiths Everest (whistley smiley)
Seiko EPD or similar
Birth year watch
(these are the 'realistic' ones)
The "no-chance this year" ones are:
PP Nautilus
AP ROO Diver
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
Breguet Marine Big Date
VC Overseas Chrono
Rolex TT Daytona
Snap, one of those two on my 2012 WTB list too.Originally Posted by michaelh

Wish is to keep the collection to six or less after finally getting down to three from ten a few months ago.
Pondering a Rolex of some description but not sure whether it would be a keeper. Likewise would like a blue Tudor Snowflake but worried that is just too similar to the black Snowflake I already have and one would therefore become surplus.
Sure something will catch my eye but this years plan of attack is to let things come to me rather than endlessly searching for what I "think" I want.
If I come into any cash then maybe I'd upgrade the 1665 Great White for a DRSD.
Other than that see my sig.
So that's 3 declared targets & I bet (myself) that I'll buy (and sell) at least 12 watches this year.
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
Rolex non date sub and maybe a Tudor Prince Oysterdate :)
I must stop looking in to watches. I just keep finding more I want to buy.
This year I'll try to down-size the collection quite a bit. New entries, maybe - Stowa Flieger and Zenith Captain.
Got a Panerai Bronzo on the way at some point.
After that, would like
Omega 910 Flighty
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
Birth Year watch
Would really like a Breguet Hora Mundi but think that might not happen.
And then just see what comes up on SC.

I know the feeling, just over a year ago I had a nice quartz Longines Chrono as my good watch and a couple of beaters, and after just over a year let's just say i've sold a few, bought some i'd never even heard of and have much less cash in the bank...this year is shaping up to leave me with even less money. You can't put a value on the enjoyment though...oh wait yes you can... :DOriginally Posted by Fiendish
I've at least managed to get my birth year watch ('79 Speedy Pro) in 2011...saying that a '79 5513, now that would be nice :mrgreen:Originally Posted by Malcolm68

1.) Panerai 116
2.) Panerai 114
3.) Panerai 372 ( my distributor told me december 2011  )
A CWC handwound chrono would be fine.
So fine...
My plan is to give a couple of my watches an overhaul. Not planning any additions, but you never know
Will try not to sell any but you never know....... :(
On the want list is one of the following;
Explorer II (new model)
Seadweller
Submariner (late model 5513)
and if I decide to break the habit of a lifetime and buy something other than Rolex it will be an Omega Speedmaster.
I also need to service a few but at the prices RSC charge that could eat-up most of my budget!!
I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a Rolex. SubC most likely.
Sub c or 42mm explorer as a gift to myself for my 40th in may
I find myself looking at Panerai more and more but buying a house this year so we'll see.
Don't know yet - I like surprises
seiko bullhead, the 2 models
rado captain cook
tag heuer diver
My list is VERY short, my only watch purchase this year will be an AP Diver, will sell my SubC, PAM112 to fund it!
My 2503.33 may have to go to scratch the (can't believe I'm typing this) SD itch....
a Seiko SBGR059 would be nice
Franck Muller.......
Anything containing the DeBethune Resonance / Resonique escapement.
Got the rolex milgauss, black face green glass, on my hopeful list.
Once the IWC 3227 sells, then it has to be a dress watch, either JLC reverso or ultra thin, or possibly a piaget altiplano. After that who knows? :D
Only the one watch so far on my hit list Rolex Datejust II
Omega X-33 to add to my growing Omega quartz collection. Though given what's happened this year - anything cOuld happen!
Hopefully Magrette, not that they have mention anything like it, 2012 presents a new Magrette Regattare just like the bronze but in titanium with an olive dial and 200m WR. Now that I would buy in an instance :drunken: But that maybe never will exist....
I wanted to try a MeisterSinger, and I have already gotten my hands on one from the Sales section. Now waiting for it to arrive :)
Will probably also try a Breitling again :)

Omega Montreal is tempting me as well (as you say the 80s thing feels right sometimes  )
sorry to say I'm tempted by the Tudor Heritage
This year I am going for:
Sinn 142
Sinn EZM1
Omega Speedmaster II
Omega Speedmaster 125
Viceroy Autavia.
My plan is Panerai 312...
I'm still looking for an early 60's Seamaster 300.
At the moment, I don't have anything else on my wish list. Don't intend to sell any either.
Rolex Submariner 16610LV
Letting go my Hublot Ice bang and a JLC Memovox but have no idea what i'm going to replace them with right now. I've had the hankering for an AP for a while but the King Power Hublot on SC is really calling me
I've already sorted 2 of my 2012 wishes with a panerai and a stroke of vintage goodness which arrived this week.
My overall plan for this year after a lot of fannying about and type testing is to streamline to 3 watches which tick the "brand I like the most" "vintage" and "daily" boxes.
This leaves me wishing to at some point move 3 on and replace them with 1 that's going to be a do-all.
I have to get a Speedy pro. 8)
Deciding between an SMP and PO...
Probably looking to shift my Sinn 857 UTC (bought it new and never worn it ) and my guitar collection will be downsized.
If that all goes ahead then a Rolex 1665 and a no-date Snowflake would be very nice, but if not then I'll sit back and enjoy my current collection :)
Would like to get a Damasko DA36 & possibly an Aerospace or B-1.
Got to go (engagement) ring shopping first, so we'll see if there's any money at all left after that.
