Its OK but I'm sticking with my Oris sub. - I prefer the shape of the hour markers -A little more thought has gone into them.
I prefer the 500m. I've got a secret thing going on for Tags at the mo! But their rep in the UK is not great

Hehe, I it's true for most luxury brands, but what I guess I'm getting at is that I'm not feeling the originality that you get with either rolex or omega.Originally Posted by bigmul
You mean their rep on a specialist Internet site in the UK hosted by a boutique manufacturer of mostly military-inspired watches with a modestly sized but dedicated fan base is not great, yes? ;)Originally Posted by Dave Downing

I should expand by saying most Anglophone boards don't have much time for any TAGs aside from the Aqauagraph, 500, Monaco, Carrera re-issues, etc. That's because someone once wrote on Usenet in 1986 that TAG was a actually marketing company based out of a cupboard in Geneva airport and had all the watches made out of reconstituted wheelie bins in North Korea, and since then that has been repeated as a shibboleth to gain entry into the inner sanctum of internet WISdom.Originally Posted by bigmul

I own a formula one as a travel watch, good looking, quality watch
Hmm, I like it but feel it really hasn't moved on from its predecessor which I had and loved for 7yrs... I'd hope for something a but different to look at than a massively inflated price tag.
For me it falls into the category of 'nice'.
Heh. I think Rolex must be the least innovative brand in terms of watch design, and deliberately so. What the hell Omega do is anyone's guess. Tag actually do design, but their name is unfortunately poo.Originally Posted by wosk
