As a kid it was always the short sequence that the BBC used to show in between programmes of two revolving globes, at Christmas they would make the globes look like two christmas puds :P

This morning my Wife insisted we put up our tree, a string of lights in kitchen, kids' stockings over fireplace and random decorations around the house (whilst xmas music videos were playing on Sky).
Quite enjoyed it, actually. Made me feel a little 'Christmassy'.
But... on Friday I saw a Xmas Coca-Cola tv advert (the holidays are coming). That makes it Xmas time.
The wife asked me to nick a load of holly on the morning dog walk so she could be 'creative'.
The scratches on my hands and arms make it Christmas 8)
Aw man I had forgotten about the revolving puds!! I remember decorating the tree with my Mum and treading on pine needles in my bare feet...ouch. Also the house always smelt different at Chrimbo probably cause of the tree :)

Carols from Kings on Christmas Eve. I try to have everything sorted by then and start to wind down. I was a boy chorister(not Kings I hasten to add) and it was fascinating to be behind the scenes, to be part of the show, especially at Christmas. Of course my voice broke and from then on couldn't sing for buggery but I still try for the descant, even now. Very happy days :D
Generally, its been the Coca Cola advert (holidays are coming...) but it was shown mid november this year and has destroyed the whole thing!!!
Early Christmas adverts are steadily ruining what Christmas spirit there is left. Come the last week or so, I'm fed up with the whole thing. :twisted:
