Congratulations !,
I'm a big fan of the Monaco and used to own the modern re-issue. Someday I hope to get my hands on a vintage version too.
Enjoy !!

Well, it's my 35th birthday today and decided at the beginning of this year I would celebrate this one with a nice watch.
I decided I needed either a Rolex Sub or the new limited edition Heuer Monaco 'vintage'.
The sub I settled on proved to be too expensive for my budget (white 1680).
So, last week I was ready to place my order for the Monaco when I came across a local add for a vintage Monaco.
Didn't think twice, called the guy (son of the original owner, who found it cleaning out the house) and we agreed on a price we were both happy with.
So now I'm the proud owner of a 1133G on the bracelet:
Couldn't be happier!

Excellent looking watch
Happy birthday to you indeed! Will you be enjoying it as-is, or having it cleaned up a little and serviced?
Have a great Birthday an all, that is a fantastic watch! :)
Happy Birthday :)
Happy Birthday, I'm not far behind you, 35 next April, hopefully I'll treat myself to something as nice as this.
I love that Monaco, such a nice colour combination. There's something about the Monaco that just makes me smile, enjoy.
Thanks all!
I'll have some minor work done on it; cristal is not on correct and it needs a new crown. Once done it'll become a daily wearer :DOriginally Posted by S Works
Stunning! More pics needed.
Happy Birthday Filip. :) you're not moving away from the vintage divers are you?
Very Handsome. I have lusted over 1133b's for a long time, but whenever something I really like comes up for sale on SC, I haven't got the funds available to move :( .
Maybe one day.
Enjoy your great find, glad to hear its going to be regularly worn.
Steve.
Well. That's me officially
Had to pass on a blue dial manual one of these a few years ago when skint for £1750, and that was from a respected jewellers vintage cabinet
Fantastic choice, and if nobody else is gonna ask........
Not too shabby
a very nice watch and a great way to celebrate your birthday.
Thanks and not moving away from divers, they will remain the main focus in the collection (altough it seems this year Heuer got the upper hand)Originally Posted by Timelord

Great catch Filip.. oh and happy Birthday!!
The 1133G is a stunning watch.
Wow, the Vintage Monaco from Heuer is about the best out there. That's one nice watch.
After there merger quality and look went downhill with Tag Heuer. Congrats are surely in order.
Congrats! I'd say thats a grail for quite a few people around here. :)
Wear it well.
A grail, and so much better than anything with the "Tag"
Dream gift, congrats and happy b´day!
Happy, Happy Birthday and what a great birthday present :)
Belated Happy Returns of the Day.

Again thanks all for the birthday wishes!
To pick up the watch I had to drive two hours, than on the way home I got stuck in a major traffic jam for 1 hour, so a 5 hour drive. In the traffic jam all drivers around me were sitting in their cars frustrated, and I was just beaming with a smile from ear to ear. In fact I still can't wipe that smile off my face.
