Wives do seem to take a very dim view of perfectly reasonable behaviour like that. ;-)

Seriously though, if it's a problem for you then I hope you can reel it in. Good luck.

I haven't bought a watch for six months. It was hard, but I managed.

LTF's Dornblueth though, I would have bought it in a nanosecond...

Working my notice in current job. Last day is next Thurs. New job starts Mon 29th Sept.

Not really doing anything at all. Don't feel guilty...much (they've more than had hours our of me over the last 14months).

Be better if they let me 'work from home' IMO.

Well, I'm 41, not 17. And the wife's a diamond and probably right on this one. :)

Indeed. Last night I put my light out at 12:50 having read the same page of my book three times, fell asleep and woke fully refreshed. It was still dark however and the clock told me it was 02:10. An hour and twenty. Took a while to drop off again, to wake repeatedly. Too warm in the bedroom despite a fan.

I have developed a what I think is a cyst in on the joint of my thumb (second one), and decided last night (after a few sherry's) to remove it, bad idea, woke up this morning and its double the size and the pain is awful, I shall go to the doctor now, where he can let me know what I already know, I have early signs of osteoarthritis.

I still sleep like a log, it's my little baby daughter who doesn't.

I didn't believe in love at first sight until yesterday. I honestly can't remember the last time I was so captivated. And such a pretty face, I want her so much.

Her name is Zenith Pilot. I just need to decide how to pay.

Same here. Made the mistake of dropping off last evening so couldn't sleep last night. What shall I do today?

I think I’m going to give up on sleeping, it seems to be too difficult to achieve.

You know you're in a proper bike shop when all 3 staff have beards and give the impression that the place would run that much better if there weren't any customers in the way. This impression is confirmed when one of them takes out his Linux netbook to look up the price of the parts he's just fitted for you. I'll be going back.

Why does your car breakdown only after you have put it through an MOT, brought new tax and filled it with fuel?

I am puzzled by people who seem to be perfectly literate other than not understanding the difference between "bring" and "buy" in the past tense.

bring / brought (spot the "r" in both)
    buy / bought

  47. #2747
    You said it r1ch.
