I was chatted up today at the gym, by a girl 10-15 years younger than me, and I blew it.

went into a blind panic as soon as I realised that she wasn't 'just chatting'

just too old for this nonsense now, although I feel 25.

Just lost with AA against another player with AA in Texas Hold'em. It was a rather big tournament and I was doing very well. Not funny.

I'd always thought that football supporters were generally badly dressed. Then you turn a corner and there are ones combining lederhosen with the rest of the outfit.

Probably. The Bayern team arrived, unfortunately, at the airport at the same time as us; I watched them board the Munich flight from the lounge.

Random mildly interesting fact: Julian Nott, who composed the theme music for Peppa Pig and Wallace & Grommit, is the son of Sir John Nott, Defense Secretary during the Falklands war.

I was asked to help out with a 'really interesting project' at work.

I agreed and I'm here for two months.

    They lied.

I've just been fishing for the first time this year - for my glasses!!!!!!

Was walking my Sister-in-Law's dog this evening and we cross a wooden bridge over a wide and fairly deep stream/drain. A low branch caught my face and knoced my glasses clean into the water.

I'm vertually blind wthout them but had to go all the way home to get my waders, nets and boots before returning, (with my Brother-in-Law for eyes), to fish them out!

Isn't life just wonderful some times..............

It's a sad day when a damn parking ticket is worth more than the value of a car. Sell the car and pay for it ya chump.

I turned down accomodation and free beer all night at last night's venue in favour of a good sleep in my own bed in readiness for an early start travelling daaaaaaaaaaaaan saaaaaaaaaaarf for tonight's gig. Further proof that I am not, and have never been, rock and roll.

I've only just discovered that the track ' I wanna be your dog ' by the stone roses is actually called ' I wanna be adored '. I think ' I wanna be your dog ' is a better title.

Currently sat in my hotel room in Plano Texas - no where near the Grassy Knoll. In fact nowhere near anywhere to be honest.

Yesterday I Had to show ID to get a drink yesterday (54 years old) because it's the law, but was allowed to bring in a firearm. Mental.

Just switched off world cup fix. So there is now time to spray a white line to measure 10 yards for free kicks, goal line technology installed and yet they cant get the 4th offical to check if that was was a foul or not for a penalty. Bullsh*t

    England 575-9 declared.

    Joe Root 200 not out.

Sri Lanka aren't Australia, and their bowlers were chucking a lot of pies, but England's batsmen, particularly the middle and lower order, tucked in.

Over to the bowlers now. Good to see Liam Plunkett back, as well - he could be just what we need on a fairly lifeless pitch.

    Time for another beer.

Edited to add that were it not for the fact that Joe Root comes from Yorkshire, Boycott's mother could have scored even more runs.
