Somewhere pages and pages ago in this thread, I said me and my wife had been walking around our house deciding who has what when we split up.
Well yesterday my Decree Absolute came through.

    The kettle's broken.

I have bought a new kettle.

I was intrigued that my new kettle came with a book of instructions, in many tongues. Once I had found the English version I was surprised and dismayed to find that the kettle should only be used for boiling water.

I have now revised my plans for lunch. I was looking forward to having soup.

    I've just been into Argos.

They made me stand in a queue and wait for a number. It was like the Social Security, but with less people stood at the entrance smoking Richmond Kingsize.

At least they give you a screen to gawp at, watching your number rise to the top , proper exciting it is too, it may be a way to discourage you from stabbing people in dispair with the little pencil you always steal ( I do anyway, gives me a thrill )
    Cheers..

You might be surprised to learn that a peanut is actually not a nut, but a bean. So this warning actually makes sense, because if you are allergic to nuts (like me), you can still eat peanuts (unless they are contaminated by nuts).

I just put a pic of Sergio Aguero on my Utd-loving girlfriend's new phone and saved it as the wallpaper. She can't remove it. Along with the result it made my day.

The little pencils are from Ikea; Argos have tiny ball point pens.

Yesterday lunchtime, as the weather was clement, I took my lunch and banjo to a quiet bench in the seafront and had a tootle on the banjo while munching my sandwich.

Bloke going past gave me 50p. 50-bloody-pence.

I'd have thought wearing 3 piece work suit might have identified me as not being a busker. Anyway, it was worth more like a pound. Tight-fisted git.

No; it just comes out as hot water. At least mine do. Mine machine isn't one of the posh ones mind. Dolce Gusto. You can't even get a full mug. 240ml is the most they say they'll do for standard coffee.

Not only did I just order a new watch, but it's a pre-order.

Now to try and forget about it until it arrives. I love a surprise.

I've just had a bloody great fir tree taken out of my garden today. It nearly blew over in the storm a couple of weeks ago. The roots lifted the ground, but thank god it didn't go over at the time. It would have done loads of damage if it had.

It's amazing how light my garden is now!

It's a little known fact that Äddi (pronounced Eddie) is goodbye in Lëtzebuergesch (dialect spoken in Luxembourg).
