His and her watches as a wedding present?

Looking to pick the forum's brains on this one. Been racking my brains for a wedding present for my brother and his wife. It needs to be something small (no space at home for white goods!) so I thought a pair of watches might be a nice present which they could keep for a long time. So something classic in design would probably be best. Ideally, the his and hers watches would be similar but Im also open to inventive pairing suggestions.

Id be willing to stretch the budget as far as needed for the right present. Although not as far as IWC father and son set prices!

Up to a few thousand euro I guess.
