Thanks for that _ that's not your mate modelling is it?
Are they all fitted for his shape? I don't have much of a belly (36" waist) and have issues with baggy fronts!
No PC at mo so will trawl later.
Not me mate although they told me what he got paid for a days work as a pro plus size model

I like the ones with holes for the arms & head, and a big hole for my body.

I like my "mints with the hole" naked

I like Ralph Lauren, but their sizing seems to have got smaller as I've got bigger
Also like Lands' End, particularly the pima cotton ones.
I've got a few Boden ones which I bought years ago & seem indestructible. Their current stuff
isn't of the same quality & is made for people with wasting diseases

    Fred Perry.

Interesting aside, the first tipped collar FP's were designed for West Ham fans in 1957 and have been a favourite with the fans ever since.

I like La Martina polos (the plain ones rather than the liveried 'club' ones); have several and the quality is very good.

I wear Ralph Lauren, Fred Perry and Hugo Boss. They all seem similar quality, RL are longer and all cost around £40 from York's Designer Outlet.

I agree with that the quality is nothing like what it used to be.

Fred Perry wash and keep their shape much better.

I quite like knitted polos or merino wool ones. Somewhere between a shirt and a regular cotton polo and can be dressed both smart and casual.

I'm a big polo fan (have over 20) and wear Abercombie and fitch, ralph lauren custom fit, superdry, gant and diesel. Used to buy Lacoste but they are comedy quality for the price tag as mentioned above

Out of all of those I would say the absolute best for keeping shape and colour are the abercrombie ones, closely followed by ralph.

Just bought my first Boss - very nice indeed
Might have to find an outlet village though.......

    Mike Seal

Big son went to Uni and has now settled in York, where.......there is a designer village which has a cracking Boss store.

Also..........Big Ralphy which when I was last there polo's where £44.99 each and if you grabbed two they were £60 a pair.

Bargin and I wish we had villages of that ilk over here in Suffolk, but then no one lives here.

The only two polo shirt brands I wear are Fred Perry and tommy Hilfiger, very surprised at how good Hilfiger shirts are as I only discovered them recently..I have tried superdry but they all seem a weird fit..too long in the body

York designer outlet has a good Fred Perry shop. Well worth a visit IMO. Can`t remember the prices but they're cheaper than normal shops.

I have one from Aquascutum which seems to be wearing quite well; I didn't used to wear polo shirts but a few months in India last year changed all that. Uniqlo seems to be good quality for the money (and unbranded) and I have also become quite fond of the Chunk bicyle polo ones as they are such a p;$$take of Ralph Lauren. They are also widely available online for much less than RL :).
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Ralph Lauren or Lacoste always seem to fit well. I was in the RL store today and the Custom fit seem to have lost the silly tail on the latest designs.

I've noticed that with the M&S Polos. I have one from the early 90's and still wearable. The cotton was quite a good weight compared to the lightweight flimsy cotton they use now.

    Re: Favourite Polo shirt brand??

I got some smooth cotton one's from Austin Reed a few years ago, very comfortable and they last, no fading or stretching at all. I haven't seen them for a while though, and nothing comparable in a smooth cotton. I also have some from Melka, which are excellent, unfortunately they don't seem to sell in the UK now.

I agree with the comments about M&S quality going downhill. I have a double breasted blazer I got from them in the late 90's, great quality and I still use it. The ones they have now are nothing like the same quality.

Edit: Just came across this on the Austin Reed website, something a bit different.

For those Original Penguin fans in London they're having a sample sale for the next 3 days in Berners Street just off Oxford St...polos 3 for £50.

A&F and Superdry for me...A&F especially wash and wear very well. Though unfortunately both brands have become far too chavvy for me :?

Most of the traditional designer stuff I've never been impressed by the quality.

Musto and Quba look interesting though, will have to check them out :)

I like Paul and Shark. They are quite expensive but beautiful cotton which holds its shape and a higher, rolled collar which can look good under a jacket.

wow - am I the only one on here who has tried the Sunspel ones?

They really are superb, especially the Rivieria model (the actual Daniel Craig Casino Royale polo shirt)

Agree that Ralph Lauren ones seem to keep colour well and fit me great but the damn tail!! I prefer the custom fit one (slimmer cut)

had quite a few of these myself the regular ones suffer very badly with shrinkage in length.

I have some of the lighter weight looser knit ones and they are superb.
