Hi all,
As promised, the strap arrived today and is now fitted. It is a substantial leather strap with little in the way of tapering to the buckle end. It feels a much more comfortable than the original tapering bracelet. Anyway, judge for yourselves:-
This is how it used to look - all three are now on leather and look much better in my mind

As long as you don't sell the bracelets or drop them off at a local charity shop I think you should enjoy that.

Very nice in an understated kind of way. Doesn't draw attention away from that stunning watch but is classy enough to be seen next to it.
I do normally prefer a bracelet, but that looks very good, I think the white stitching helps make it work. What was the black coating on the case before, had someone had PVD or DLC applied to it?
Looks good. I prefer leather or mesh myself. I just don't find traditional bracelets that comfortable.

That watch just begs for a red/orange or blue colored stitch Brady Sailcloth. That would look stunning. I find the plain leather with white stitch rather boring on that one. the colored stitch would make the watch pop.
Yes, I did think about using a strap with red stitching but thought it would look OTT.

I almost wear all my watches on steel bracelets. For the comfort and for the looks, bus this strap suits the Flightmaster real nice!
Very cool watch anyway! One of my grails, if not to say my number one grail.
I personally prefer all my watches on straps rather than bracelets, no idea why.

I like it, but I think it would be even better, with a rally/perforated strap :)
I tried a few different combo's on my old FM (some just for fun)

but always reverted to the bracelet.
If you always go back to the bracelet í will ben more than happy to take over your mesh bracelet.
This would be my choice :D
