Thread: New (to me) Breitling!

    New (to me) Breitling!

    Hi All!

Received this couple days ago and have since done some polishing and refurbishing to it.

It had few nasty deep scratches, but it starts to look good eventually :)

Still have to work little with the bracelet :bounce:

Got to admit I had doubts for the sunburst dial, but now I've seen it live I think its piece of art, with 3D effect. :)

    The lume is awesome

    Cheers!

    Re: New (to me) Breitling!

    Yep, simply stunning.

Breitling 'are' a work of art.

I still can’t understand why some people think they are a bit ostentatious. They are so laid back, but with real character close up. How could they ever be considered ostentatious? You look at a watch like this and you can tell that its just so beautifully executed. Human endeavour right there on your wrist.

You are one lucky person to own this one.

    Congratulations.

Great watch and even better pics, what size is the watch? and does it stand as high as the B1?

    cheers

    Taz,
    Here's specs:
    Airwolf:
    Diameter: 43.5mm
    Thickness: 16.7mm

    B1:
    Diameter: 43.2mm
    Thickness: 16.5mm

Havent worn B1 so cant say for sure, but Airwolf has longer lugs which also points down so maybe Wolf looks/feels to sit closer to wrist?

I remember my Steelfish (height 16.1mm) felt that it sits closer to wrist than 42mm PO (height 14.5mm), because Steelfish had similar lug design (long and bending down)

But still, this is tall and sits high, but thats how my most watches do :thumbleft:

I have the Silver version and i love it!..........list on these is 4k i think now

I believe they stand a bit higher than the B1 on the wrist

    Enjoy!

Not many months after Mustang Jim joined the forum. But we certainly can't accuse him of speedposting can we.(LOL)

Ha. Caught. Well, my apologies to anyone offended by my original correction. Seems there are so many calling them lings these days, I guess I had a momentary lapse. Of course, it's a Breitling. Ha, some people have fantastic memories. Cheers

    They're a great watch the Airwolf's. I've got the white face version;

sure, its a good looking watch but surely the best view of it is the back, how has no one put a picture of that up yet?

Sister to the AirWolf. The Sky Racer. Its best feature is the sunburst dial in silver. I also prefer the stainless bezel over the Raven version. Love this watch and wear it often. Sadly, no longer in production.
