Datejust - arrival of a classic

I sold my vintage 16014 a few months ago, it was exactly like the one below but I couldn't quite get my head around the acrylic crystal and rattly bracelet of the vintage, felt too fragile so I hardly ever wore it in fear of smashing it up.

So when I saw this lovely Silver dial 116234 for sale, I snapped it up :)

It came on an Oyster but I've fitted it with one of my Jubilee bracelets, very very comfy and a more classic look :)

Instant classic and great dress watch, pics below.

    Enjoy guys :)

Truly a beautiful, classic, defining watch. This is what comes up to many people's minds when Rolex is mentioned.

I just bought the same watch except its 45 years from a gent on this forum. Never thought I would go for a 'datejust' but there is just something about the all silver slightly blingy look. Lovely watch!!

Love it, love it, love it. The dial is gorgeous, think I'd love it more on the oyster though.

Great watch I purchased one a few months back, with a white dial, they are a classic,I'm thinking about adding a oyster bracelet. I have noticed there is one for sale on SC.

I want one! That's a real classic, at a good price compared to rest of the Rolex Market. Enjoy.

Actually, Anders, that was a smart move to pop on a jubilee - you get the classic DJ look with the advantages of a modern watch.

    Looks quite different, doesn't it?

Looks super hot on the Oyster but even better on the Jubilee.

I'm pleased I've got a DJ back in the fold and especially one with the Silver dial :)

The classic Rolex, absolutely beautiful. Silver dial is the mutts nuts, although I could go White dial and roulette date as well. Congratulations.
