Find a more tangible item - you do not get off that easy
I would love to have a cool-looking pen like that.
On the other hand, I found a pretty useful watch related item:
A smartphone by Ulysse Nardin: http://www.luxurylaunches.com/gadgets/u ... luxury.php
I have an Omega branded money clip

That pen actually looks quite interesting, any more details?

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Watch winders!
I was just about to say the same thing.Originally Posted by .olli.

Got to disagree - when I go on holiday and take one of my travel watches or am away on business for a few days, I like to keep my daily wearer sitting on my £20 winder so it's ready to go when I get back.
Your watch will still be ready for you, regardless of you not using it for a couple of days. you just need to set it
Winders are indeed pointless and put needless wear on your watch.
Sorry, but... :bs:Originally Posted by Omega Blurb

As opposed to the LumZilla, which is silly sized, the Series C are 38mm. I am looking forward to hearing what makes them tick.
I have a Rolex paper weight

I once had a Rolex Dealer 'Point of Sale' folder (POS - lol!) which I thought would be great, but it was an expensive folder full of stuff I already knew
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
I've got an Omegamania pen somewhere. I'm hoping that one day it'll reach the same heady heights as the watches sold at the auction

Your daily watch should be on your wrist. That's what makes it your daily. :wink:Originally Posted by Seb d

Watch box?!?
Folders, paper weights and perfume - must admit, they sound pretty useless/pointless to me
Well it's my daily watch when on home soil, but I take different ones travelling :)Originally Posted by yonsson
I have the exact same looking case back tool but in the cheapest version possible. To my great surprise, I have removed several case backs WITHOUT leaving any marks.Originally Posted by theoriginaldigger

OH, just remembered i have a Rolex golf tee pouch!

Bloody hell, that could put you right off Omega.
I have some leather business card holder (at least I think that's what it is) from JLC in a drawer somewhere that I've never even used. I think I won it in a raffle many years ago.
Maybe someday I'll be important enough to have a need for business cards...

Why anybody would do that to their watches is beyond me ...

Rolex anchor. In reality just another bit of tat.
A friend sent me some Rolex branded "handling gloves" (I don't even own a Rolex). As a concept about the goofiest thing I can think of - as if this stainless steel watch is so precious it shouldn't be sullied with your finger oil.
I've owned several deluxe Rolex Tea Spoons and a "very rare and desirable" Bucherer one too :-)

I have loads of watch paraphenalia here and I'll pick up anything I see of interest.
If you collect watches it is just an interesting sideline, have you ever seen Jockes museum?
Judging by how quickly my Rolex stuff goes out the door on SC there are fair few fanciers on here too. :)
I agree on watchwinders though....stupid.
Cheers,
Neil.

To all those who don't like watch winders, how about a manually wound watch winder?
Yes, it's a manually wound watch winder for manually wound watches

That said, watchmakers do use a device to wind hand wound watches - a kind of grip or pen vice that grips the crown and lets you wind by rotating the shaft. I can't see a lot of point therein, but it seems to be rather common and thus probably useful.Originally Posted by TakesALickin
Could be helpfull if you had a disability or injury I would have thought?
I thought I read somewhere that it causes problems if they are left unwound? Or is that a whole other thread?Originally Posted by WatchScout

If you wind a lot of watches it will hurt your fingers, a shaft is easier to turn then a crown. However I would not have thought that a watchmaker winds enough watches a day as to make a difference.
It does not, that's a myth.Originally Posted by minimadgriff

Seriously, none of them ever developed a problem due to being left unwound.
Watch winders are abominations.
I got a watch winder last weekend and sit one of my Seiko's in it. Is nice going to put it in and not having to set it.
Yes, there is a legitimate use for them - if you wear a watch occasionally but don't want to set it each time you pick it up. The myth is that you need a winder to keep your watch from deteriorating because it is supposedly being damaged by standing still. It even sounds silly :)Originally Posted by minimadgriff
