here is the face showing the dirt/stain/patina,
I can see that the second and minutes hand are slightly bent so touch each other, still not running though.
After my earlier attempt at getting a vintage Seamaster see viewtopic.php?f=1&t=186039&p=1881519#p1881519 I have just got this from the bay,
it has Cal 552, 209......serial no putting it at 1963/4 was running but not now, same as the other watch. I dont think the crown is original and also there is engraving on the SS caseback.
Hands seem a little loose and touching so hoping that might have something to do with it not running.
I am wondering do i get the face cleaned or not, or just have a service/repair, I am not interested in a full refurb/restoration even though there is a fair bit of Wabi on the case, the crystal doesn't seem to marked.
interested in peoples thoughts.

I have also noticed that the winder stem has corrosion which could indicate water ingress a some time.
Definitely not correct crown as it is not signed with the Omega symbol.
Any advice from the experts
Good luck with your project Roger.
Good luck!

For me it would have to be a very good clean of the dial, and hands, or NOS replacements.
