First two, dear god. Last one I don't mind actually.
HI everybody,
I spend a lot of time on the web, looking for beautiful speedmaster wich are for me an addiction...But sometimes i found some "monsters" ...
It is a personal opinion but only a little change makes me crazy...
... sometimes i am wondering myself if it is still a speedy or not...
... PVD..not for me...
And you, what's for you the worst speedmaster you ever seen?
First two, dear god. Last one I don't mind actually.
+1 for the PVD. Not too shabby at all.
I'd have to say, that really doesn't look right to me. Ruins the whole balance of the watch.
Was the PVD done aftermarket or is that a ltd edition? (Black Hole 40th Anniversary Ltd Edition?)
All three are horrible IMHO.
The black version makes all the beautifull lines, polished and brushed, of the Speedmaster case disappear.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
That's an aftermarket PVD. Currently for sale on the bay. :)
That first one set my teeth on edge! You've got to wonder who would do that - it's really not that hard to source the right parts.
Not nice.
It's the watch equivalent of "pimping" your car with a ridiculous paint-job and bodykit.Originally Posted by Trum

Yikes!
For some reason, I find that PVD Speedmaster horrid looking.
i don't know if i can post link here (i known is forbiden to post link about on going auction on other forum)
but you can find it on ebay.de (because you certainly know that you can not see auction from another ebay on ebay.co.uk, from .de. fr or .it for exemple, if the seller limits the post service to the country only)
Just search for omega speedmaster on ebay.de..you will find it :)
I have no interest in finding it, but you should have no problem posting a link to an active auction here.
Thank you, I cannot believe he did that to a new one. I could understand an old bashed up one. :lol:Originally Posted by Trum
PVD
On the clasp of PVD is engraved "dark side". Problem with PVD is if you scratch it, steel will appear.
First two horrid, PVD ... well I don't know if I dislike it as much as some here. :?:
If it was done properly as a production model with a bit of styling perhaps to balance a couple of minor things out, it could be a popular purchase. It has a bit of IWC Top Gun about it with out all the fuss that the IWC has ... it is quite SAS I reckon.
PVD
I like it - although I do have form in the person of a PVD Incursore.
Reminds me of a 60s Heuer which I had in the 70s - a sentimental replacement for which still eludes me.
Actually, to correct myself - said Heuer may have been early 70s - you know the one, black body and face with white indices and white / orange hands ?Originally Posted by Joyce
I know, I'm wandering off topic.
I'll desist : )
First two are shocking. The pvd is a wee bit... meh.
Oddly enough, I've really taken against the black one - just looks so wrong.
The pvd is kinda meh. Much better pvd options out there, and you wouldn't need to deface a speedy either.
The auction reach 2.2k Euros   ...7 days left...
I can't understant how this black monster can be sell more than a classic one...
well there are more ugly watches than nice watches in this world and thank God not a lot of people like the Speedy like I (we) do!Originally Posted by Trum
horrible !
pvd on this speed
how to destroy one classic !!!
Neither can he......hence the sale !
It doesn't offend me but would have been better to experiment with a battered one methinks
PVD must be the quickest way to make any watch look like a cheap POS pulled out of a pack of crisps.
PVD is ok but not really a patch on what is would look like without it.
Can someone point out to us non speedy experts what is wrong with 1 and 2 ? I have no idea I'm afraid :(
Cheers
Simon

:D
PVD looks cheap...
PVD would look better in combination with a vintage strap
I was hoping someone else would ask before I had to...thankyou!Originally Posted by WORKSIMON
The PVD watch is pretty nice.
auction ended, final call 2310 euros
BTW, thanks for all your comments, if you see some monster in the future please feel free to post here!! I am always interested in those particular speed (just for seeing..)
