Hello all,
Anyone know much about these watches?
I've got my eye on a divers version.
Thanks 8)

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
The 'Pseudo Ruhla' is OK - a big, good looking watch, with Swiss 2824......
That's true, but if you're only paying £60 you can't be too disappointed. They're not bad for the money. More than good enough for 'beating'.Originally Posted by colin
I've had a couple of these, the second of which went in for some fairly extensive modification. Happily, the basic case structure is pretty sound, and the screwed caseback is thick enough with a decent amount of thread. It could use a slightly thicker seal, though (which I put in).Originally Posted by RobinMasters
There was little lume to speak of on either dial or hands, and the movement is a zero-jewel far east module. But then, so it is in a Casio GIEZ G-SHOCK GS-1100B-9AER and they're over £300! I put a 7J ETA 955 in with some decent hands and a dial that actually lit up.
So, bargain-basement spec for a bargain-basement price but the basic case structure is pretty sound; there's nothing actually fundamentally wrong with it.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
What about the lume on those? are the dials better than the cheap quartz ones?Originally Posted by Dapper
They all use the same dials....Originally Posted by Kutusov
If you can re-lume yourself, they are great. If you get the type with the MOD style dial, they are pretty good learner dials....
That would be funny enough... I would end up with a full lume dial!! :mrgreen:Originally Posted by lysanderxiii
Do you know what size the dials are? I'm wondering if a 28.5mm ( ish! ) dial that I have would work for a mod, rather than a re-lume.Originally Posted by lysanderxiii

+1 for the Pseudo-Ruhla. Had one for years with no problem (and I work on rigs...)

I kinda like the pictures actually...
This is similar to the one I'm liking for a cheap and good looking beater except it has a date window:
I'd be putting it on a James Bond NATO 8)
Mine is about the best beater I've ever had!, on purchase, secondhand, I noticed that some came with date feature. I removed the dial, and found that the movement is the same in both versions!, the date wheel was in place under the non date dial.
I drilled a hole at the correct circumference, and now have a date, at a jaunty angle!
I fitted a Seiko oyster bracelet, and the endlinks were a perfect fit, brushed the whole lot (great for everyday scratches) et Viola!
So now a nice comfy daily work watch!, knock em if you wish, lume does suck, but I sleep at night!, they sure look the part, and the case is pretty darn good!
