im no expert, but if i had 2k to spend on a speedy i reckon i would just go for a standard one.....not much help i know.....
is there any history on ebay for previous sales of this model?
Are these worth much? Thinking of selling this on to fund another purchase. There is one on the bay for £1900 is this a realistic price?
Its the scumacher racing from 2001

Nice watch :-)
Thank you, itching for something new and dont really want to punt on my old sqn aerospace. I prefer the speedy to be honest, but the breitling I have has sentimental value.Originally Posted by ant043

Omega Ltd editions aren't exactly limited, so it doesn't add much to me. At the end of the day, its a Speedmaster reduced with a coloured dial and the full size Moonwatch goes for about £1100 secondhand.
On the other hand, you might just find someone who wants exactly that watch...you never know.
£1900 sounds a bit steep.
Omega 'special editions' don't really fetch a huge premium, because there are more special editions out there these days than standard watches! Omega do love an advertising campaign/tie-in!
The racing dials always fetch a little more than standard, but I'd hazard a guess at £1400-£1500 being its very very top-line.
One of the green dial 'Golf' special editions changed hands here for £800 not many weeks ago, and a mkII racing dial for £1400. Not the same, I know, but something to go off.
think your bang on there......Originally Posted by Christian

It's an old advert and prices have risen a little, maybe you could get a little more on a lucky day.
Cheers all, need to go and try on some possible replacements.
That £1900 price is just silly but I guess they have to give it a go.
Those LE's were a jazzed up version of the Speedy reduced so about half that price or less IMO.
Cheers,
Neil.
I have all the Schumacher speedy models and the one you are showing is sell-able at 800-900 £ gbp.
If they are complete and in good shape, otherwise less.
Sorry to say this but they were priced at 1150 £ gbp here , when new.
Limited yes, but in thousands.

Hans - you are no loser! I'd love to have the set. Or even just one of them...
Hans,you´re my Hero(idol)! :drunken:
I think £1900 is too high for a speedie reduced, even it is limited in couple of thousands.
I've seen a few of the ltd ed Schumachers for sale at quite a wide price range. Some dealers ask mid £2k
Not seen many for below £1000 as suggested here which would be a bargain IMO.
I'd say around £1500 for a nice one with all papers etc.

I will see how the sale goes of the ebay one, though I did think that was high when I saw it.
Lovely collection in the photo earlier in the thread. Nice one. Always fancied one of the yellow ones myself.

Parkhouse in Southampton had the top right of that level collection for sale a couple of weeks ago, my memory is a little hazy but I think it was the best part of 2k
A different take an absolute classic. I can't get enough of my speedy moon watch
Was the 'MK40' not classed as a Schumacher edition?Originally Posted by 9:59
