What a terrific find.
Just as I was losing the luuuurve :D Not working, but who cares. What else can you buy for a pound these days!
S/S case, Only marks on the movement I can make out are 66 or 99 :? There is some kind of stamp on the balance cock as well. The numbers 8782 are stamped on the underside edge of the case.
Caseback stamped AM 6B/159 G&S Co.Ltd 113015/40

AM, cracking find.
Although £1 is pretty steep if it is not working.
Dial and hands look good which is the main thing.
Well done mate.
Cheers,
Neil.
Bongo does it again! Nice find John
Outstanding, perhaps you'd care to quadruple your investment?
...I'll pay the shipping.

Great pick up - looking forward to seeing it all refurbed and on your wrist.

Well....more in hope then expectation, ripped a crown off an old lost cause..........fumbly fingers and........
......it fired up smoothly straight away  Set the hands and its keeping perfect time  :D Now on a period leather.
From what I've read, these are pretty rare so well worth trudging around in the rain this morning. Picked up a rather fetching old 1and a half ton screw trolley jack for a fiver as well :D
Very cool find. Just goes to show this sort of thing is still out there.
Great find. Would love to find something like that one day.
I'll give you six for the trolley jack if it includes shipping
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Temptress. If I did decide to flip, it'd have to go Standard Parcels I'm afraid as I think it's a bit over the 1kg. Would you like the handle as well? That'd be £100.Originally Posted by seikopath

I did gather these Ebel's are pretty sought after, as relatively few were made, but bloody hell......
.....and there's me getting a bit fed up with the watch thing!
John what a lovely piece. And a cracking price as well.

Great find!
I have to admit that I have read this the other day and there was a garage sale on a street next to ours so I went looking for 'old watches' but have not found anything :(
Either my maths are wrong (probably ) or this old timer is a bloody miracle of engineering.
I gave it a full wind 7pm Sunday and put it on the mantlepiece........
......it finally run out of breath @ 1.30 pm today  I make that 42.5 hours, same as my Speedmasters!
