Morning All,
I want a G-shock for a real basher but can't decide, which one to get. I have kind of narrowed it down to two but any other recommendations would be great. Except if you are recommending any G-shocks that look like they have come out of a grab machine :laughing8: i.e GW56 :lol:

Get the GA100. Although the King of G's is better, I don't want you to have the same watch as me :lol:
Although the stealth GX56 is awasome!
My wrists are only 8.5" so I find the GA100 a bit too big. For me the gulfman or mudman are the best Gs there are! The size is right, I like the styling and the functionality is perfect.
Get the bottom one and beat the life out of it,,, if ya can :lol:

IMO if you want a beater, it shouldn't be overly large. For me the only beater Casio you would ever need is a GW5600 (or similar).

Big fan of the G here, but some of those monster Gs are just plain too big.
They might look more sexy, but for daily wear the most practical one is the GW5600
Solar and atomic - put it on your wrist and forget about adjusting it for EVER ... or until it breaks, which ever comes first.
I bought a GW5600 a while ago and meant to use it just for kayaking but ended up wearing it almost every day since I got it.
DW-5600E/GW-M5600.
G-100 if you prefer analogue.
haha Ben hates any GW56, to be honest I liked em, had everything you want. But when I got the GX56, the GW just seemed to small and child like IMHO.
The GX doesn't wear to big at all, IMO. Plus so comfortable.
I´ve got a ´codename´, which is the same size and imo it wears as big as it is.
When going watch bashing I strap the basic DW5600 on.
Unobtrusive, indestructable, cheap; simply on time.
For little extra cost you can have the upgrade to solar/ rc.
As a general basher it is unbeatable.
Add taste/preference and the situation changes and no longer adresses ´best suitable´ but ´best liked´.
GA-100 for me, fancy one myself.

Well, I voted "other" because I thought of the GW-6900-1ER
The reasons are, it's relatively inexpensive (and they do pop up at the SC from time to time), it's solar and atomic, has a general "stealthy" black look but it doesn't have a negative dial (great for shiny California/Iraq, etc, not so good for dark, rainy UK) ant it has a good size to it without being huge.
Mind you I don't own any G-Shock (or any other digital for that matter) but if I did it would be a 6900 or the already mentioned GW5600

Did you decide as yet? Out of the two deffo 'The King'.
However as a beater I'd chose something less chunky, perhaps the GW-M5600 as others have mentioned or even just a vanilla DW-6900.
Not decided yet, it definately won't be a normal Gw56 as I can't stand them.
If I could get an all black King of G's I would go for that.
Especially on those number thingies in the middle... :mrgreen:

Think Kutusov's recommendation of the GX-56GB Black X Gold or Waveceptor version GXW-56GB is about the closest you'll get to all black. If none of these suit sure if you wait long enough Casio will do a King in a colour scheme to suit.
