Do Rolex Tritium Dials Still Glow?

i was wondering if anyone has any glow left in there tritium dial Rolex's, perticularly the matt dial subs and sea dwellers? If not why not. Omega dials and many others still pump out a bit, if only for a few seconds so whats the deal here?

Do Rolex Tritium Dials Still Glow?

My '83 16800 has the merest of a glow on the hands only.

Some determination, and a great deal of blinking, will provide the time, but only in complete darkness!

I have a '93 Explorer II tritium which still shows a reasonably feint glow at 6 in the morning with the curtains closed. If I put my readers on I can tell the time no problem.
My Y serial 14270 glows like a torch at similar timings, no glasses required on that one.
