CWC g10 issued in 1979?

Hi all
I'm completely new to military watches, but the look of the G10 is really growing on me.
Could someone tell me whether these watches were issued in 1979 (my birth year)?
I have come across a lot of them from the early 80's, but none from 79.
Having said that I admit i haven't been looking for that long, but I thought I'd check with you guys before embarking on a maybe impossible quest!
