    Certina-ly a lovely diver.

Just picked this up in a trade and fitted some 24mm Fat bars to the 21mm lugs.. Yes i will have to cut them out if i ever decide to wear it on anything other than a Zulu, Rhino or Nato.. But i can't see that ever happening. :D

They are such a solid, snug fit, that its like having fixed bars. :D

    A few images :-

    And a wrist shot :-

Really loving the vintage look of this re-issued DS3. Just one niggle, i wish it had the original push and twist bezel action. Other than that i'm very happy with it indeed, i have even become quite fond of the dinks. :) This watch us going to see ALOT of wrist time. :D

    Sergeant-Hurcules thinks it's pretty cool too :-

    HAGW! :)

That is great. Are these original hands? Once I was considering to buy one, but the hands were not as good as these.

Great watch, great puss, and great idea re. the springbars for a watch that will always be on nylon!

It's my first Certina and probably my last, but i'm really impressed with the build quality on this watch.

The Turtle... Well he's alright, i'd rather it was a Carcharodon carcharias to be honest, but he's on the back so it's not so bad . :)

Thanks, The hands are plongeur hands, not sure where from but probably Yobokies or Noah.

I must say, the original hands looked terrible!

Looks great, and the hand mod is one of the few that looks better than the original, IMHO. How did you manage to compress the 24mm springbars far enough? I can't use 22mm springbars in 21mm lugs without jeopardising something.

And what is it with 21mm lugs? Omega, Oris, Longines, Hamilton, Citizen, Seiko, Certina and Tissot all make mainstream watches with 21mm lugs and the aftermarket choice is terrible.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

Thanks! :) The spring bar idea is something i have been doing for a while now as i wear most of my watches on Either Eddies Nato's/Rhinos or Keiths Zulu's. It give a great feeling of security when you know that they ain't going to ''pop out'' under any circumstances.

Cheers. :D The springbars are from this guy in Australia, he measures them slightly different and are 24mm according to the way he measures them.

I think the 21mm lug thing is to try and prevent the buyer from buying non original straps.
