Absolutely gucking forgeous.
I love those, congrats.
After seeing Scarto's in a thread last month, I enquired at a local AD only to be told there is a 6-month waiting list for one. As luck would have it, I spotted a pre-owned one in a jewellers last week. Way outside my usual budget, so I had to trade all my others in against it (and add a chunk of cash), leaving just this and my Monster. I'll have to see if I'm a one watch guy, but in the meantime, I'm a very happy camper :D
Allow me to present my Glashutte Original Panoinverse XL in 18k rose gold. In my opinion, the most beautiful watch currently available.
Absolutely gucking forgeous.
I love those, congrats.
Now that's horoligically gorgeous :drunken:
Congratulations

Congratulations, that's beautiful (you won't be surprised to hear me say that!)...and glad you got it in the end. I can sense just how pleased with it you are.
Enjoy it to the max :)

"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Congrats that is outstanding.
For once, I'm happy to be jealous I really am
That's what I was thinking 8)Originally Posted by EdRonax

Stunning!
Stunning 8)
If you don't mind me asking, what pieces did you have to get rid of to facilitate the purchase? The 'one watch' strategy has been something I've thought about a few times recently, so I'd be interested to know what sort of a sacrifice you had to make! :D
Wow John that is amazing!
Good Lord 8)
Congrats - wear with pride, its a rare beauty 8)
Thanks for all the comments guys. I remember seeing the pics of these from Basel in 09 and drooling. Then the pics Scarto put up of his last month just re-ignited the passion, and I guess I was just lucky to snag one at a good price.
I traded in 2 Breitlings, 1 Ebel, 1 Cartier and 1 Bell & Ross. I had to add some cash to make up the difference. I thought long and hard about consolidating, as I do tend to wear all my watches in rotation, but hopefully I'll get used to having just the one. And if not, it'll be on SC :DOriginally Posted by GingerMagician

Nice to see a bit of micro wabi on it too- couldnt just be a safe queen- too nice to hide away.
Id want to carry a sawn off with me every time I wore it, lest I be accosted by undesireables...
woaw :drunken:
feel free to post some more pics
Nice - I'd like to see a wristshot please.
That is a stunning
Out of curiousity what reaction do you get to it, from non WIS/HOG 'men on the street' ?
It's as if to make up for the elaborate beauty of the face they felt the need to show how beautiful restraint could be on the back. Nice reverso.
bg.
Do you mind me asking which Jeweller in Dublin it was John?
:D So beautiful and so worth the loss of everything else to get it.
I'm very, very, very jealous!
That's absolutely stunning; roll on the next Dublin GTG...
The only jewel adorned gold watch I could wear. Would wear. Would love to wear!
Wow!
Congrats to a real Masterpiece!
Not for me, but certainly appreciate the craftmanship that went into making it.
now i understand why my watchmaker is full off GO!
When I first saw the pic I thought it was of the back but t'was the front.
TBH I don't like the tiny dial/hands at all but cannot deny the quality. :)
Cheers,
Neil.
That's a mightly impressive timepiece. The dogs .....  ! Congratulations.

Very unusual and special 8)
Congratulations for having the courage to do what most of us have probably considered at some point. It really is rather stunning.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Thanks again for all the kind words guys. To be honest, the way I looked at it is the watches I sold to get this I can always pick up again quite easily, but I might never have another chance to buy one of these.
To me you went the right way
if the money you have in watches can buy the dream go for it,less IS more :)
Just look at the way you are coved you have it all dress,diver/beater 8)
Really striking watch. Congratulations. If I put my cynical hat on, I wonder if it would've got such generous opinions on here if it had, say, a Maurice Lacroix logo on it...
I think you did the right thing. I remember you telling me you weren't sure if it would work but I think the ones you sold were worth it to have this rather special piece. The fact you bought pre-owned means you won't take such a hit should you decide to move it on further down the line. All things considered, job's a good un.Originally Posted by Bogmanfan
