Photos of back please. Does it have the traditional 3 crowns?
Caught this on a on-line auction not long ago. Seiko chronograph Swedish Airforce issue. Seems to be the same as used by the RAF.
Back side is the issue number engraved M3440-058010. Movement: 7t27-7a20, model nr or serial nr(?) 0D0510.

THIN is the new BLACK
No, it does not have the three crown. Forgot to take a photo of the back side. :(
Will do so in the near future and post a picture.

Promised Mike and John to post pictures of the back side.
Sorry, no three crowns. The M-number is clearly visible.
...and a picture of the movement as a bonus (removed a movement cover/spacer for this photo). :D
Beauty of a watch.
Like the background to your pic's!

Thank you and congrats - damn - another piece I need for the collection...... :D
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Thanks for positng the requested photo of the back. Like someone else said, "Damn, another watch I need to add to the collection."
Someone know if Seiko product this watch (not as Swedish Airforce issue) today?
Hi Sam,
I believe that they have been out of production for some time, though it is ocassionally possible to find a civilian one NOS on "a well known auction site", exactly the same, but without issue numbers. Of course issued ones turn up there too, both the RAF and Royal Navy versions.
There was an attempt by Pulsar to replace it with one similar to this one:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 773191.htm
but for various resons (most of which I don't know), it was not accepted into service. I don't think it was a quality issue, but alledgedly something to do with contract irregularities.

I have one a bit like that, different back though
am thinking about selling, how much are they worth?
Real nice watch that it's one i'll be looking out for in the futureOriginally Posted by jo.st
If it were issued, an RAF/RN Seiko Type II, would go for ~$400-450 on e-bay as of late (there are always anomalies). Unissued, as this one appears to be? :? These were available commercially from at least a few civilian dealers, including Silvermans, while the Type I was only an issued piece (AFAIK). The Type I's going rate is $420-$500 in the last few months.Originally Posted by chris ring
Hi Chris,
It's the civilian version of the "RAF Type 2". These are exactly the same as the issued RAF ones, except no issue numbers on the reverse. I have seen them sell for between £120 and £160, depending on condition, original box, papers etc. Yours appears to date from March 92?
I didn't notice before but the RAF and RAF-type versions are "Circle P" for Promethium, and the Swedish example is "Circle L" for Super Luminova? Would this make it a different spec, or mearly later than the RAF ones?

Today I've got the Seiko watch. My English is not good enough to write an review. Maybe one member could translate my review from German to English. Maybe Crusader?
