    Presenting The Seiko Planet Monster

Just purchased this beauty on SC. A modded Seiko SKX007 by Yobokies, commonly known as the Planet Monster. It has a monster dial, prolongeur hands (I think that's how it's spelt) domed sapphire, planet ocean bezel insert, and super oyster bracelet.

I've taken a few iPhone snaps but they don't really do the watch justice. It truly is a sight to behold, especially fitted with the super oyster.

    Frankenheck

That's certainly a striking piece - now, what's to hand to strike it with

    Just kidding

You might guess that it's not to my taste but congratulations :)

I love the Omega Planet Ocean, I think that's what drew me to this. The Monster dial just makes it stand out even more, it's got a fantastic lume.

Not sure if I'd prefer the minute hand to be Orange... The florescent yellow blends in a bit, but then it keeps it subtle.

    Very nice.

The thing that bothered me about these was the holes in the dial-do you notice them?

Only upon close inspection, there so close to the edge that I barely notice them.

I was tempted for this but have given up modded seikos for now! Looks good.. but I'd be tempted for an orange minute hand. That sapphire is lovely..

It certainly is bold and is nice and works as a whole but personally I would have a simpler, smaller and all white minute hand and keep to the standard bezel insert. Domed sapphire is gorgeous and if/when I get a 007 in the collection again then it will have to have one of those at least.
