Well done on reaching 10,000 posts, I seem to remember that in your 2nd post, you mentioned that you had placed an order for the Kingston :D
not in the house..............
Seems to be lost at Schiphol at the moment, so what should be a happy 10.000th post is just another post :)
A big thanks to Eddie for running this crazy place, and thanks to a lot of members which in good and a few bad times were quite a helpfull escape from reality.
I even mastered the art of taking photographs (well sort of :D ).
Quite a few pieces changed hands as well, confirming the honesty amongst the members here, all the deals I've done were with gents and went very smooth.
The Kingston will turn-up eventually, and will be shown in all it's beauty confirming my new status as a connoisseur of photography, Jocke eat your heart out
All the best,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
Well done that man. I was going to ask how the devil you managed to rack up 10,000 posts in only 3 and three quarter years, but see learningtofly is half way there in less than one. I must try harder.

Bill Yao sends his watches using FedEx most of the time. The parcels arrive in Europe through Paris. Did Bill use USPS this time?

Congrats on the 10K Daddel, not a bad score!
My Kingston is currently at the local post depot, it got held for taxes of £73 and of course only received the notification letter on Friday afternoon so a weekend wait.
Being redelivered on Tuesday, wonder if I'll beat you :D
Congrats Daddel. It won't be long now! :D
Nor will it be long before I'm "celebrating" the same post-count.
Quite a mile stone, hope the Kingston gets released soon.

The one I bought was #24 and was originally sent out to Gunscrossed in December 2010. :?:
The order in which he is dispatching them has more to do with the configurations chosen, the second criteria would be who ( out of the 1st plank group ) was first in line. My serial number the last number possible 300 out of 300, received but I flipped it without even removing the plastic wrapping.Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

At the ordering I made a request to Bill for as low a serial number as possible, he allocated me 003 and kept his word :thumbup:Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

LOL yeah, all we need is a movement, mvt holder, and the hard bit... a caseback... anyone fancy a challenge? :DOriginally Posted by Daddelvirks
It's a bit weird getting a second case and bracelet as part of the package...I can't see a reason why you'd need this as a 'spare part'...is there a reason, or was it because he ordered too many cases and bracelets while not having enough other parts to complete the watch?
I think the idea was to give an "instant' backup for the long term owner - basically pop the innards out and into the fresh case. Ok cases get dinged and bracelets stretch but that'll take years of abuse! This was included free in the plank orders, and $200 extra think it was on the second tier - still a bargain considering Rolex would be looking at prob £2k for the included parts :)Originally Posted by Christian
