Quite a price difference compared to the TF retro rubber!

    Re: Isofrane heads up

I was on the 20mm pre-order list so it should be waiting at home for me. Expensive I think, but hey-ho.

Now I just need a watch to put it on...

I would love to see a side by side review of these straps (and if the Iso is worth a $99 investment...)

    Hi

I've got one off Eddies and one of the new Isofrane 22mm's, I must admit the isofrane is a lovely band but then so is the TF retro rubber and it is a hell of a lot cheaper. I have an original isofrane on my Ploprof and they are great, but the last genuine iso I saw through the bay hit £500, which is crackers!

I'm a fan of the Isofrane straps; They are super comfortable, have a quality screw in buckle, and best of all they pick up no DUST or lint whatsoever unlike many other "rubber" straps out there.
Steep price agreed but undoubted high quality.

Sorry, but there are so many other straps similar at half the price or less. Way too much money.

Never tried one of these, but I am a big fan of the Timefactors Retro Rubber which is a bargain.

Agreed, the offering from our very own Eddie is a super strap and literally 1/10th the price

    Re: Isofrane heads up

I posted the heads up/linky because this strap isn't really in competition with Eddie's (well, I wouldn't have thought so, at that price, anyway). A lot of Sub owners have been waiting patiently for the 20mm version.

I'd go for the TF every time, purely on the basis of VFM. Sadly, both are a bit too long for me anyway.

Good post. But anyone who refers to holes as "fenestrations" wants a slap.

You should try one. They really are the best,no question. They also come with a nice extension piece and a spare screw in buckle.

This is interesting stuff. What I've been after is a new orange/red ISOfrane or equivalent to play around with on my Ploprof. 24mm.

Any ideas if these are available yet? Didn't seem so in 2010....

    Cheers

    Re: Isofrane heads up

While the Isofrane is of very good quality no doubt; it is also a big rip off. 1100% mark up in direct internet trading is a rip off in my books and no matter how good it is I would not touch it. My admiration goes to the Doxa, Synchron, Marei, crowd who seem to able to pull it off very well not at least thanks to the name and collectors prices of the originals.

Worth it for sure. In fact it's that comfy, I'm going to get rid of the clasp raved about by all and sundry 8)
