Not sure its cool but I kinda like that! :o
This is madness !! I don't particularly wear gold or gold cloured watches and never dreamed or wanted to buy a gold sports watch but somehow I am really atracted to this one...
What do guys think ? buy or bin ?
Thanks for your input.

Hmmmmm, not sure about that one at all Mario :?:

It's different.....not keen myself but if you like it, go for it!
It will look great in yo pearl hummer bro, etc.
Are you going to dive with it ?
If so you don't want anything on a wrist that will glint in the sun light.
Them barracuda and similar have a mean set of teeth and have been known to snap at things.
Think fishing lure.

I'm not a fan of gold unless it's real but that's different-looking (in a good way). Are there any other pictures around?
I was going to build myself something similar,so i would certainly buy it.Out of interest to save me searching, how much? :D
Log off and go to bed mate, this nightmare will be all but forgotten in the morning :D
I have one of these, and I rather like it:

I like it and see nothing wrong about gold on a dive watch (had a few myself ).
If you like it then go with it.
Oh and forget worrying about the barracuda: there's far more of interest on a diver's kit than a watch!

Whatever is used for the more matt gold finish is cool, not whatever that is.
I'd wear it :)
hmmm... Still undecided but then again I am more into these non-glossy titanium nitride coated (golden coloured) divers...
It looks nice but the gold nullifies the tool watch / diver aesthetic, for me. A bit silly. Would rather have a steel one.
Actually gold doesn't glint in sun light - polished stainless steel is far more reflective.Originally Posted by nesima
No! Horrible.
I bought the same finish version of the Star Monster. I gave it away the next day as it was vomit inducing.
The only gold on a diver should be on a Golden Tuna. And that's a fact.
I know this because I just made it up. But I'm right.

I like gold and black combo, and do not see why a judgement may change for a diver. I mean, if the combo is right, it's right for all type of watches.
Having said that, Mario, I would rather have a black case with a gold crown and bezel. I just see too much gold in that.....
Gold is a no for me in general. Just can't wear it at all. I agree with the Del Boy comment above.

It's not like it's solid gold/precious metal, it's a gold coloured tool watch - why not. I think black and gold ia nice combo.
Bit chunky, but a nice look IMO.
Nothing wrong with a bit of gold on a diver IMO
whats the problem? if you like it buy it, then if you dont like it in the metal, flip it.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I do like it, but then it is very close (colourwise) to my old Citizen (which needs to go off to the watch fixers), and unlike Vicky, I quite like the gold starfish, although only in pictures not up close and personal.
I'm biased, don't like gold full stop I'm afraid (even my wedding ring is titanium). If you like gold, I don't particularly see what's wrong with that, although it screams "Welcome to the 80s" to me.

I don't mind that at all. I'm actually looking into trying something similar myself. I think if one can wear a polished stainless steel watch then surely a bit of gold won't be that bad if done tastefully.
It's not the gold that's questionable (*) - it's that that dreadful looking bezel!Originally Posted by pulga69

(*) In fact I happen to quite like the gold effect, as sported here
I think that gold should never be considered for a watch, unless it´s a proper gold watch. Otherwise it just looks cheap.
I like it - definitely a watch I would wear as a beater!Originally Posted by pulga69

Anyway, after looking at it and considering that we are not talking lots of money, I have decided to go for it and give it a go...although I ordered also a different one as back up...
I loved it in pictures. That's why I bought it. It's just that it's horrid in the metal. :?Originally Posted by andyjay
That's what worries me but hey, life's too short ! I'll pop now down to Argos and get myself a sovereign ring and a chunky solid 9ct gold chain to go with it...   :lol:Originally Posted by Tai Mi Shu

Gold is a color like all the others so basically "why not?". However a diver watch made of prescious metal is a dumb idea in my opinion.
