:shock:
That is all.
...... a quartz monster...!
(or the slr001 / 8f35-0019 in Seiko speak, but that wouldn't quite fit in with the automatics lyrics :lol: )
Just thought I'd share a few pics of a pretty rare Seiko.
It's the predecessor to the classic auto monster, was introduced in 1999 and only made for a year or so, hence you don't see many about.
Unlike the auto version this really is a monster, measuring some 46mm without crown (almost 50mm with) and 14mm thick.
It houses the highly accurate (not to mention 8-10 year battery life) 8f35 perpetual calender movement (as found in a certain other highly sought after seiko diver :wink: )
It only has tiny 14mm wide lugs but is surrounded by a hard rubber housing which gives it a very purposeful toolish look, this monster means business :shock:
And a quick wrist shot and probably the reason I don't really wear it much (its just tooooo big), it even seems to wear bigger than my tuna I had (and loved);
I know it's 'only' a quartz Seiko, but its a pretty imposing piece with a lot of wrist presence, the perfect pick up and go tool diver I think (if you've got the girth to do it justice :lol: )
:D
:shock:
That is all.
I have the white dial version bought from sc a few weeks ago but the wifes nicked it, looks good on her too :( the 8f 35 is 8)
Very rare, way cool, enough said :mrgreen:
Big boy! :roll:
:D Rare, huge and very cool, makes the auto monster look tame. :lol:
14mm thick? I would have guessed it was a lot more! That's a baby watch compared to this thing, which is getting out to a new home on the UK tomorrow...
Another big boy here! :roll:
