I'll be out of my house tomorrow or the next day, and out of this marriage. I've been dad for 5 years now. I gave up my career, and life to be just dad. Took me 3 years to accept just being dad, but I finally did, but by then the marriage had ended. We've just been hanging on since. So today, I had to make hard decision. Actually it wasn't that hard. I called a farm up the road that has some holiday cottages told them I needed a place to live. I've known them for a few years as neighbours, so hopefully it'll work out.
Life can be a bitch, especially when you marry one. Just the way it goes. So, if all works out I'll be moving up the road, with about 600 quid to live on, and this is from a guy who used to make 6 figures. Nothing is forever mates. I think the cottages have broadband, so I'll let you know how it goes.

These things have a habit of turning out for the best, as I know from experience(s). Just spend as much time as you can with any kids involved.
Certainly puts all this watch cr£@p in perspective. A watch has never made me truly happy for more than about 5 mins. :(

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Unfortunately, the option I just tried isn't going to work. Too much money and too short term. I've got to balance emotion with logic so I don't end up homeless. I've just tried talking to her again, on the phone as she's over at her mums, but to no avail. God this is hell right now. I've not helped lately with my irratic behaviour, but the situation is driving me nuts.
Oh well, another week ahead to try to sort something. I hate w/e's right now.

I can understand that it's the waiting and the not knowing that is amongst the hardest things. It's good that you're communicating about it and have outlets, such as hobbies, as trivial as it sounds- and it does not diminish the appreciation of the difficulty- keeping well-occupied is good.

Thank you again to those who have responded. I'm very embarrased by all of this. Today I've been making more calls to those who might be of help. First thing I did a 5 miler to help clear the head. Not sure it did a lot of good today. :lol:
