Wow, that ís 8)
There is one with the airplane circling over a world map in one minute to far less powerfull effect than yours.
I picked this desk clock up from a boot sale a few years back and thought I would post a couple of pics for those that had not seen one before.
16cm X 15cm approx, quartz movement.
It was originally issued or used as advertising by Japanese air lines whose logo you can just about see at the bottom of the fascia.
The front is pretty worn but it runs fine and the cool bit is the the fact it looks like a Seiko diver with the addition of the little aeroplane on the end of the second hand and the turnable world timer bezel.
I keep it next to my computer and have never seen another.
The pics are cack, it does look better in real life.
Any one else got one or similar?
Cheers,
Neil.

Nice!
That looks fantastic. 8)
Gotta love those Seiko's! A very striking piece :)
Hi Neil :salute:
Very nice piece, love the plane on the second hand, though the Seiko script does remind me of the many Feiko's seen on eBay :D
Here is mine - a plastic case quartz in military green and black probably issued at one point to the special forces  the cities bezel rotates and the alarm feature works a treat. Mine also sits on my desk with the comforting tick, tick tick...............sound.
Nice Derek.
You have the civilian version.
Cheers,
Neil.
very nice indeed 8)

I have this similar model, ref QZ877D. These were made from around 1979 to the late 80s in Japan:
Nice (sweep) airplane second hand with a shadow over the world. Not that I'm travelling much these days. But useful for international video calls. The 24 hour dial rotates clockwise and is numbered "backwards". Apart from seeing the time at forty cities, you can see where it is night at a glance. Helps to avoid phoning your distant family/support-centre/boss at an inopportune time...

That's a cracker Paul!
Sadly the quartz movement in my one has given up the ghost now.
Cheers,
Neil.
so does anyone do a modern version of this sort of design for a reasonable price?
