Thanks for sharing that review. It rivals Kerry's!Originally Posted by redmond
Yep. Like that, bit basic but the underlying theme of it not being that big is continualy echoed by anyone who has owned one for a period of time
Nice review. Good little read.
Thanks
I am still not sure about mine.Originally Posted by 100thmonkey

GOT...TO...KILL...CAPTAIN STUPID!
Nice review or a stunning watch!
its a beautiful piece, but i cant help thinking that i wish they would make it smaller next time they release it.. (for my 17,5 cm wrist)
What a lovely watch!
Very nice review! :) Do you have some wristshots of it?
Great pics, nice review, thanks for time and effort. :bounce:
Lovely watch, great photos and review. Specially like the glide lock clasp...genius. It's the worst thing having a braclet that's to loose. You take a link out and it's to tight. Doh!
Great review & pics. Must get saving
Excellent review & pics
Best watch ever!
Nice review and thanks for posting.
great review... after the gmt2c, is this it or a milgaus green glass...
And again good review
Thanks for a great review. I`m still not a fan of the watch but I enjoyed reading this.

Pleasure, its my favourite piece to date but I appreciate not everyones cup of tea
Before I read your review, I had only seen the watch at the AD, and I didn't even had the courage to try it on. The size was overwhelming. I should have tried on.
Technically its best of the best, all that we Rolex Submariner fans dreamed off. Sizewize it's a Huge leap of faith.
Thanks for your time and effort to post this review, you certainly made me think again this watch.
Great review, I just wish Rolex had kept the helium valve splurge on the back of the case, it is the one reason that has kept me away from the DSSD.

Great read - after 6 weeks I'm loving mine - contrary to popular beliief it even fits under my shirt cuffs and is very comfortable to wear.
Si
Its not popular belief its normally written by someone who has just tried it on in a AD or owned it for a few days/weeks, the long term reports on the DSSD are all outstandingOriginally Posted by CARRERA74
What a beauty, but totally out of my price range
Just managed to get the thought of owning one of these out of my head and then I take a look in the reviews section  . It's a must have piece but doubt it will be this year. Good review.
I'm so smitten with mine, only 5 days in and I can't think why I'd wear any of my others ever again
starting to feel like a winner in the only one watch category
great review, lovely pictures, I really must try to do something that comes close to celebrate my MK1
Cool but too big for my girly wrist.
Fantastic review, now I really want one. I saw one a few years back in Barcelona and it was just under £4k tax free. Now look at the price of em!!
Fantastic shots and a great review.
Now I want one!!!

Hmm,
maybe i start thinking
My latest purchase :D One of the best on-line reviews I've seen of the deepsea.
Many Thanks, Im sure there are more detailed out there but comments such as yours make the effort worthwhileOriginally Posted by festa uk
Really stupid question but is the 16660 as big / wear as high on the wrist as the 116660?

Not sure I'd go with that Mike, I find the SD wears just as high as the DSSD due to the SD having a rounded caseback and the DSSD a flat one - but that could be my wrist shape :?Originally Posted by seadog1408
In general terms though, and not just height, yes the DSSD wears a lot bigger as the diameter is larger making it feel considerably bigger on the wrist, it weighs twice as much too and the substantial bracelet on the DSSD makes the SD one feel like tin foil  The biggest difference I've noticed is the DSSD is considerably more "head heavy" than the SD due to the whopping case thickness and crystal.
Thanks for your responses guys. I tried on a 116660 at an AD last year and it was massive on me so I thought a 16660 would suit my punier wrists, which it seemingly would.
Great review, really likes pictures.
Had the same experience on my 6 1/2" wrists so didn't buy. That said, I thought it worked better on the wrist than it looked in the shop window and, surprisingly to me, wears quite discreetly.Originally Posted by kungfupanda
Great review. I agree the bracelet really does look impressive.
Great watch and nice review, thanks!
Nice review and great watch :)
brilliant review and pictures!!
did you pay for it all in one go? or in monthly installments?
how much did it cost you if you dont mind me asking.. 8)
Crude Question but Current retail is £7100 with an imminant price rise to close to £8k we think!Originally Posted by rossylad92
An excellent review. Thank you.
I tried one on a few times and while the styling was slightly too brutal for my tastes, I was extremely impressed with the comfort of the fit, the bezel action and the legibility of the dial. It is a little too tall for my tastes for every day wear, but is an incredible piece of engineering. I do not like the writing around the ring at all when I see photos, but it doesn't seem that prominent in real life.
These do seem to divide opinion, but the two people I know who own one absolutely love their Deepseas.
