    Macro!!

Really think that I did some of the best investments in my life. A extender for my 50mm 1.8d lens. I had to raise my mortgage for the $9 investment but it was worth it.
Hope you enjoy the pics! Some are a bit unsharp in some areas. Had to lower the diafragma because of the low light. Just made them with a Nikon D70S with SB400 flash

    Plastic fantastic

    The barrel

    The brand

    Broad Arrow

    Speedy Pro

First watch worn on the moon

    Flight qualified

    Azimuth

A little bit too much gold on the rotor

    Hydro power!!

    Very dense steel

    Re: Macro!!

Maybe not quite as macro as some of the other excellent examples here, but it's the best I can currently achieve.

    Re: Macro!!

    Really spectacular pics there chaps.

Been considering a macro lens for a while, but not sure what I'd photograph other than my watches...

    Re: Macro!!

You know you've got a good macro lens when you can "shorten" the depth of field for a watch photo.

    Nikon D70S €175
    speedlight SB400 flash €100
    50mm 1.8d €100
    Converter ring €5

You dont need a €1500 camera to make nice pics. The 50mm feels cheap but the glasswork is fenomenal

    Re: Macro!!

NICE, Seamus! Perfect motivation for me to save for a Macro set-up.

Who needs any other subject but watches for macro photography? But I suspect that you guys could probably take a macro of a pencil and make it look fascinating.

Thanks for the info on the Swatch, Tommie, as well as your equipment.

Well this thread made me want to see what my camera can do, so I just went for it and took a gazillion...these are my first EVER macro shots...here goes.........

    The new seiko 5:

Only one of the Orange Monster came out worthy of putting on here:

    (Anyone fancy a spaceship?!)

    The PAM 88:

    (The inverted cyclops)

    (The crown)

    Oris Flight Timer LE

Sorry for the loads of shots - I got a bit carried away...
