That looks a lot like the bicycle bell I had on my old Raleigh back in the 60s.Originally Posted by adigra

Is that a Haruo Suekichi? I saw a few of those when I was in Tokyo over the summer.Originally Posted by adigra

Thought I read "Steamjunk" and thought that finally they found a proper name for a RJ watch :D
If you have to wear that watch to be a real man looks like I'll have to bite the pillow :D :D
Looks to me like someone threw a magnet in the swarf bucket.
RJ is to watch making as HP Lovecraft is to children's bedtime stories :D
 Can you be more specific?Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

Oh yeah, piece of shit. Yep, that's about right.
That looks like sht. I'm not being derogatory; that really does look like someone's put sht on it.Originally Posted by PIERS (UK)

A timepiece that screams anything would probably keep me up at night.....
Can't wait till somebody tries to flip one on here!
What would you take as a trade ?
Tin
 Speechless!
How many of you guys have actually seen one of these then? Its not for everyone, but it is a very interesting time piece...
Interesting in what way?
It looks to be a tourbillon which in itself is pretty interesting (is it his own or a Chinese one?) but the rest of it IMO is pretty preposterous but then I am rather conservative in my watch fancying.
From what I have seen these retail at around £100,000 with the requisite bit of Titanic as the case.
You paid that for it?
Cheers,
Neil.
Not my cuppa, but it's interesting I suppose. If I had £100k to spend on a watch, I think I'd be wondering whether or not that cash could be better put to work somewhere helping more needy and worthwhile causes.
