DSSD. its that simple. :D
As the topic say's.
DSSD. its that simple. :D
A Riseman G-Shock. Everything else would just look battered by the time I'm 90.
PAM 088 for me. And loads of change (for straps). I just adore that dial.
You changed your signature again "Vicky"? :D :lol:Originally Posted by learningtofly

At the moment im loving my sub ceramic so that without a doubt (plus £5260 in my pocket!)

Rose Gold GO Sport Evo Panorama Date
Don't know, couldn't say.
I have no wishes for such an expensive watch.
Sort of happy at the moment :)
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
A solar atomic G-Shock, the GW-5000, for a maximum of £300 new (less if used).
I'd spend the rest on the "life" part - pretty women, holidays and bourbon 8)
My tastes would change over time, so i think it would be impossible to keep it for life...
but right now i reckon i would have a second hand Hublot Ice bang....but only for its looks
IWC Big Pilot 5002
JLC Master Compressor of some sort
Rolex 16600
Omega Speedmaster 3552.59
IWC 3536 Ti
Bvlgari Diagono Scuba Chrono
Panerai PAM196
Panerai PAM025
I could go on...and on.... Let me PM my address so you can forward the cheque
DRSD
(if you can still get one for £10k  )
HI Matt IMHO buy a really nice 5513 for £4/5 and keep the rest because a timeless classic thats just so nice and useable you ll never tire of it ,nice dilemma to have though.
Keep them coming, I am fascinated to see the broad sepctrum of tastes
PAM 233
IWC Portuguese Automatic or a Seiko SBDX001. :D
For life? A solar digital G-Shock, and even then thats only back-up if my SBPG001 gets stolen. I suppose I'ld spend the rest on some unfunctional fashion frippery, like a Rolex or a Spring Drive :blackeye:
Probably one of the new style Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.
So clever my foot fell off.
IWC Portuguese handwound
http://www.watchtime.com/2010/01/sihh-i ... and-wound/
Fo me It would be after all these years, a 1969 Speedy and a 1969 Rollie (either Sub or GMT), which should fit nicely within that budget... :D
Seiko Spring Drive Diver.
The GO Panograph.
I never even knew such a gorgeous dress watch existed until a few months ago...
Sadly it will be a long while saving before this beauty will grace my wrist, but one day.
Great review here: http://www.tp178.com/mh/gopanograph/gopanograph_1.html
Seb.
Tough choice, but an IWC Portuguese would sit nice in my collection :D
For life impossible but if i had to it would have to be IWC Big Pilot
theres only a handful of pieces that come into this category
something to wear for the rest of your life
ive had most brands out there but for the way i live it has to be a sports rollie
as i can wear it and not really worry about it as its so reliable .
for me it would be a 1665 / a 1680 red or white
or as already been said a nice matt dial 5513 .
if it was modernish it would be a sub date or a 16600 SD or a GMT c
i had this exact conversation with a mate on saturday
id be happy with just this 16610 i have on my wrist , i can go anywhere and do anything with it
I'd probably go with a portuguese 7day or a new Blancpain 50fathoms
unless a minty orange hand explorer turned up........
Goat
Panerai 232 & Keep the change!
RIAC
The sensible option would be a bpff or 16600, however my dream watch would have to be a Minty 1665.
Andy
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Comex SD (as recent a model as possible.)
would probably need to find another 20k or so though!
if i didnt have one already,A DSSD and then the wife an nissan x trail with the change(she wants another car, bang goes my watch fund for 2011  )
Right now if I have 10 grand I will get the rose gold GO Pano Date. All my watch purchases are for life, at least that is a key criteria when I buy. :D
I would say that a Big Pilot would have to feature somewhere near the top of the list; but probably just because I tried one on in Schaffhausen last Friday.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Spot on for me too being a '69 babe!Originally Posted by pulga69

I'd probably buy a nice s/h 18k Submariner for ten grand
Probably a Panerai 233
What ever is worth closest to £10K and more importantly one that is desireable enough to sell for as close to £10K, then i'd buy a 2254 and pocket the rest
Ps.. whats a DSSD?
Couldn't have put it any better, superb choices 8)Originally Posted by alanski

I had the choice and chose the 16613 and would make the same choice again without doubt. In my eyes one of the most beautiful complete packages you can buy in a watch, again in my opinion.
I dont think there is a watch I would spend 10k on, even if it was given to me.
Breguet Type XX Aéronavale fly-back chronograph in steel with leather strap. Wouldn't spend anywhere near £10K either.
1972 EXPII
or
Patek Jumbo size sports on bracelet
Blancpain FF 50th anniversary.
It's just a matter of time...

As I was always taught as a school pupil to read the question carefully before answering, and then to make sure you answer the question asked, here goes:
Rolex Submariner Ceramic LV.
or a White faced Daytona.........
Or a Glasshutte Original Sport Evolution GMT..........
Or a Blancpain FF........
Damn it! Now I know why all my grades were rubbish
