well i have treated myself this week and bought 2 watches that i love
first up is my speedie i think it's a 1969 the movement number is in the 31mil but i cant find it listed on this site http://www.chronomaddox.com/omega_serial_numbers.html it seems to go from 29mil to 32mil any idea why?
im no expert so any opinions welcome also it has what i have been told is a very short run case back that only ran for a year or so as seen in the pics any one have any info on this? the bracelet number is 1171/1 and end links 633 which i think is right for this year is this correct?

2 cracking additions - nice work.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Two cracking pieces. Congratulations. Would you be able to tell me what size the Heuer is please?
Thanks.
Paddy
Love the domed plexi crystals. Very jealous indeed- of the Heuer in particular.

nice tag
You've been a very good boy. Congrats on both. :thumbright:
Very nice pair. How did you date the Carrera to 1964? Is there a reference page? I have one similar (the 2447S not the D) and have always wondered if there was a way of dating it.
Cheers,
Steve
hi steve the only reason i said 64 is that is what i was told it was when i bought it and i have no reason to doubt the guyOriginally Posted by stevieb
ok so you got me thinking now so does anybody know what year the heuer is as i have just tried to find out how to date it with no real joy?
best as my untrained eye can tell mine is exatly the same as this one so that would make it a 2447d is that correct?
i hope this does not break any rules?

As usual, Chuck had all the answers.
The more I keep seeing that Speedmaster the more I want one!!
Speedy is such a timeless, timepiece..
Definitely on my "to get" list, one day !!
Very nice, but the speedie wins it for me. Cracker!
Holly resurrection BATMAN! The original post was 2010
Hard to separate.....I'd have them both!
I own a 1969 speedmaster and it has a 1171/1 bracelet and 633 end links which was a question the OP asked. Since the OP posted in 2010 there is a chance that the watch I own came originally from the OP via SC and some other parties. My watch also says it was the first on the moon, we cannot have two watches saying they were first on the moon!
Both great watches. Love the vintage Hueurs but just don't know enough to trust my judgement. I need to do a lot more reading before I pull the trigger.
Bad boy and pull the trigger in the same thread
Things just don't get much better do they
Love that speedy caseback
